Someone once told me that thrifted gifts were tacky. Yet, we live in a world where overconsumption is normalized, the holiday season sends people into debt for months after it has ended and there’s a floating garbage patch twice the size of Texas in the middle of the ocean. I don’t think we get to deem secondhand gifts as tacky. It’s classist and wasteful. And Mama didn’t raise no snobs!
