The Monthly Cut is back for July and I’m sharing a pretty solid list of things I’ve been using more than most. A concealer that doesn't crease by 10am, a linen dress I packed for France and truly could’ve worn everyday, self-tanner with zero orange tones, and some Amazon sunglasses I like more than pairs that cost 5x as much. Nothing here is sponsored, just what I actually bought this month. Also, some French butter cookies that are now a daily habit, unfortunately.
I love a nice pair of glasses, but I also love when I find a good Amazon pair. These honestly rival designer styles I own and are basically the same quality, just a fraction of the price. Am I the only one noticing that sunglasses quality is kind of tanking right now?

New to this brand, but already a fan. It’s formulated for maturing skin so it’s not creasing or settling into fine lines. The concealer is so good. I want a dewy undereye, always, because dry undereye is just creasing and ages you. Also bought the brush I swore I didn’t need. I needed it.
Editors Note: Have you tried anything else from her. I recently bought the eyeliner and I am impressed. Glides on smooth and is ideal or waterline.
This might be the most versatile dress in my closet. I packed it for France and honestly could’ve re-worn it five times if I needed to. It’s that comfortable. Dress it up, dress it down it just works. I’m in the XS.

I know you’re sick of me posting these, but you know how impossible it is to find light-colored pants that aren’t see-through or too thin. This linen just looks and feels nicer. I’ve washed these, hung them to dry, and given them a quick steam; they look brand new every time.
Editors Note: I’m in a small. I’m 5’7 and got the regular, but if you’re 5’8 or taller, get the tall length. Just trust me on these.
Yes, the tanning foam is purple but it fades into the most natural color I’ve found in a self-tanner. Literally zero orange tones.

This is technically a color-correcting powder/blush, but I don't really use it as a blush. I use it as a setting powder, specifically under my eyes. The pink cancels out dark circles and brightens without looking like I tried. Get the color "Shy At First." This is the cream version that I use in the same color too!

I bought several boxes of these in Paris. I now eat one daily, no shame. If you like a butter cookie or shortbread, you will love them.

I feel like the person who just got back from overseas and can’t shut up about it, but here we are. This retinol, though. Here’s the thing, it goes on like Vaseline. A very off-putting texture, I know. But it gives you the most insane glow and makes your skin look incredible.
It uses retinyl palmitate instead of straight retinol. It’s basically the entry point for people who can’t tolerate Vitamin A in other forms. But I’m also a seasoned retinol user and I really love this one. I think it’s great for everyone. 10/10.
Editors Note: Make sure your skin is dry before applying. I use just this and nothing else but an eye cream for the nights I do retinol.
This is Medicube’s volume balm stick for under the eyes or on smile lines. I love how my makeup looks with this! I use specifically for under my eyes.
Editors Note: Here’s my quick thoughts on Medicube. Is it the best thing out there for women over 35? Honestly, no. But this specific balm makes my under-eye area look fuller, hydrated, and my concealer sits better because of it. At night, I switch to something more targeted. Medicube is great for that “in the moment” look and I really do think it makes skin look amazing, but after talking with my esthetician and derm, I want products that are more specialized and doing more long-term work for my skin. Just my two cents. This stick, however, is the exception!
I have probably worn these shoes almost every single day this month. I did not expect to love them as much as I do.
Editors Note: When we traveled to France, I packed several shoes. I ended up wearing these all 3 days we were in Paris and wore them for miles of walking. Surprisingly, they did not cause any blisters. I got my normal size.
