The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is, depending on who you ask, either the best thing to happen to your closet all year or a genuinely overwhelming amount of items to scroll through. I get early access to preview everything, which sounds glamorous and is actually just hours of scrolling through the same puffer vest in six colors.
Here's my issue with covering this sale: you come to me for curation, and this sale is built for volume. Those two things conflict. I’ve built my whole brand and business on being intentional about what I buy and wear, which, truthfully, has occasionally put me at odds with my own agencies and managers, who would very much like me to post more and think about it less. I don’t really like to do what everyone else does, not out of principle, just personality. And no shade to anyone who goes all in on sale content. They have a different audience, different strategy, and honestly, it works for them.
But you’ve been asking if I’m covering it, especially since I’ve been traveling and not in Dallas. Short answer: yes, I’m covering it. But think of this less as a “sale roundup” and more as a filter. I’m buying very little. Not because the sale isn’t good— it is, especially for beauty. But because I don’t need most of it, and “on sale” isn’t the same as “worth owning.”
So if you want fifty items across twelve categories, this isn’t that list. If you want the handful of things I’ve actually bought, would buy again, or think are worth the closet space long-term, keep scrolling.
Celine Sunglasses (I always get a pair or two during the sale)
Denim (the $30 pair below)
COS Cotton Dress (try to snag it if you can, it’s really cute)
A personal favorite brand of mine. This pair can easily be worn year-round, and they are so comfortable. I own a few different styles from this brand and the quality is there.
These took me by surprise to see them included (usually luxury beauty isn’t part of the sale) and I paid full-price for these a year ago! If you need a little pick me up in the mornings, these are fun. Now, are there other ones out there that do the same thing, yes. But do they have the fun logo? No.
I stocked up! Hear me when I say this is my favorite candle and soap (I have paid full price for these a handful of times). I love the tomato and it makes the house smell incredible. I also bought the XL size.
This dress is giving Rachel from Friends when she wears the black turtleneck under and the tall flat boots. I love it— for sure a fall piece to save for later.
I didn’t buy this because I have an almost identical style, but I have worn it so much this summer. Love the silhouette this time of year and COS is so good.
The yellow tiered maxi is one of the few pieces from this sale I'd actually buy at full price. Cotton and an easy fit.
Have and love! This is the eye cream my friends were raving about when I was in Palm Beach. It gives a little coverage and is hydrating.
I ordered these barrel jeans because honestly, I'm so curious how the quality is since they are under $30. I have a couple of pairs from H&M and surprisingly, they are decent!
Available for iOS and Android
The Basil is my favorite Le Labo scent, and this one is good for the kitchen or as a hostess gift. They have a few other soaps, but I don’t love the smell as much as this one.
I just bought these in the gray!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read It's Ashley Robertson! This post is public, so feel free to share it with friends who also appreciate a good find. x
