Hi! Hello! Happy Thursday to you! I hope you’ve had a lovely week and are feeling somewhat in a groove, ha! Whatever a groove really even means.
We had SUCH a fun long weekend and packed it full of entertaining, yummy food, and about a million hours in the sun. And then this week I gave myself a little break with expectations and it was honestly quite freeing. We’ve had lots of little transitions that made the week feel big in a very “this is not a big deal, but to our little world it is” kind of way. And I’ve just given myself space to not cram everything in and just… enjoy. I’m so proud of myself, can we call this growth?!
On Sunday we finished putting together Laurens’ big boy bed, which felt like a real giant milestone, and one we were all so excited about. He LOVES it. Flawless nights ever since (knock on wood!), and he wants to spend all his time playing in it. He keeps telling us how special it is and how thankful he is, and ugh, my heart. He’s been spending his afternoons convincing Juliet to come play up there while the storms roll in, and it’s honestly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve logged countless hours in his room this week just hanging out on that bed, chatting, reading, playing trucks. You guys, it really does keep getting better and better.
Our little annual preschool camp started Monday, and Juliet is certifiably devastated she isn’t old enough to go, ha! But I look forward to these weeks so much because I use them as my own reset before the school year starts. It’s just a little more than half days, which is a great amount of time for my big black trash bag energy to really thrive. I’ve spent Juliet’s nap times organizing the kids’ rooms, making giant donation piles of outgrown clothes and books, and writing lists of what I need to reorder. My hope is to knock out both rooms, the playroom, and the pantry before camp ends. We’ll have a few weeks after that before school starts, and I just love the freshness of drawers where every t-shirt actually isn’t three sizes too small, ha!
Anyway, not a whole lot to report. I just really leaned into the slowness of summer this week, and what a gift.

🧺 - Last night I bricked out my phone (I’m SO over my phone!!), turned on my favorite movie The Wedding Date, and folded four loads of laundry while a thunderstorm rolled in. Here’s a list of really great chick flicks, though I need to update it!
🛍️ - Tuckernuck’s sale is still going on and obviously it’s fantastic. Extra 20% off sale prices! This (I own it in another print and love), this, this (similar to my look here) are my faves. And if you’re going to splurge on a bag for fall, may I suggest THIS. OMG.
📚 - I’m SO grateful to be back in my reading groove. I really struggled after I had Juliet, once I was out of the newborn bubble, and I felt so guilty that I used to fly through books and then couldn’t muster the attention span for an article, let alone a BOOK. If you’re in that season, don’t worry, it will come back. I cherish my reading time now, even if it’s only a couple chapters every day or two. This, this, and this are great summer reads if you need one! And Ryan recommends this.
🍎 - Along with the epic clean out of 2026, I ordered all the school things this week and I’m most excited about these! I hate waiting until the last minute to personalize items and for teacher gifts, so I carved out the time now. Here is everything if you need inspiration.
🥪 - Speaking of lunch, this might be my favorite parenting tip I have ever received. I LIVE by this.
🫙 - Oh, and have you made your jam jar latte yet?! Truuust me, it’s so good.
🥗 - Also, currently eyeing this recipe. I’m just in my pasta salad era, it is what it is.

Library Candle — Love this! Cutest gift for you or the book lover in your life.
Pleated Dress — Everything about this dress is so good. The pleats, the color, the tie straps… it’s all a yes for me.
Construction Sheets — Laurens loves these, but we love these! Either set will look super cute on his new bed.
You Are My Sunshine — Ordered this for Juliet’s nursery! So adorable.
Stripe Pants — I’m seeing striped pants everywhere and love the colorway of these. I may have to try!
