Hello, May!
Well, I wasn’t expecting May to come SO quickly! But okay, hello, there it is!
May kicks off what feels like our busiest season. Between the first of May and the end of June, we have approximately 1 billion family birthdays, with Mother’s (gift ideas here) and Father’s Day sandwiched in, the last day of school, and let’s be real, all the other wonderful almost-summer things. I was moving the laundry over this morning and had a tiny panic spiral… but honestly? It’s all going to be FINE. And more than that, it’s going to be FUN.
I’ve decided I can either start panicking now, or I can make a list, see what I can do, and just give in to the wildness of it all. I’ve chosen the latter.
I’m also going to make a point of doing one thing on my personal to-do list every day, because that’s where things really start to slide. I’ll make deadlines for work, for the kids, for the house, but my personal list? It’s just floating out there, never to be seen again or checked off. So today I ordered the moisturizer I’ve been out of for two weeks… so, good news there!
We have some fun weekend plans, but honestly, I’m most excited about dragging out our little blue pool, firing up the bubble machine, and tossing in a few measuring cups so the kids can scoop water into buckets to their hearts’ content. On Monday, they played in that pool with mixing bowls and measuring cups for two hours. This weekend, I might just order pizza straight to the backyard and call it a day. It’s true what they say about kids: when in doubt, just add water.

💅🏻 - My hair is getting so long, and I’m not sure I’ll cut it anytime soon because it’s been so fun to style lately. I credit a lot of that to this leave-in conditioner and taking these… unfortunately, they both really do work! Ha!
🥗 - I do my best to make the kids’ lunches the night before (more on that here and here), but I need to start doing that for myself too. ESPECIALLY on the weekends, when everyone is home and wild and hungry! A few weeks ago, I made these easy chicken cutlets, Ryan and I popped them over salads, and wow, they were SO good! Going to do that again. BTW, I share a lot of recipes on my IG channel, especially what I’m whipping up for the kids!
🫧 - My favorite home cleaning brand just launched a new line that I’m really excited to try. I am OBSESSED with their counter spray and veggie wash. I’m on the subscription because I never, ever want to run out. Seriously, get the spray… this is how much I love it.
🌸 - April’s floral arrangement is live and just in the nick of time! This one may go down as one of my very favorites. The colors, WOW.

I just got these drop earrings in and they really are so pretty in person. Love them to dress up a simple white top and denim outfit or to add sparkle for a night out.
I’m really excited that I feel like I’m nailing my hair routine lately, especially now that it’s longer. I just bought this purple shampoo to try and will report back, but this hair mask from the same brand is my absolute favorite so I have high hopes! And I’m excited to wear my hair up in a chic twist courtesy of this pretty French hair pin. (I also have this fun hair clip in my cart for summer.)
These cordless outdoor lamps are so cute! They are under $80 for the pair and would be a great little addition to spending evenings outdoors.
J.Crew new arrivals for summer are so so good! This woven tote is so pretty, love the ribbon detail. (Looks like it’s sold out but this stripe one is fun too!)
I’m always asked about our rainbow sprinkles when we bake (or when I add to fairy toast!) and they are the best. I stock up and buy multiple at a time because they go quick in our house!
