I’m excited to host Sunita Sah, author of Defy: The Power of No in a World that Demands Yes and the Defiant By Design Substack at The Freedom Academy! I was introduced to Dr. Sunita Sah by Professor Michelle Buck, a speaker I had come on for the Complicity and Courage series a few months ago. Dr. Sah’s book examines how we translate the tension we feel when we are acting out of alignment with our values into action. She has some surprising insights on how defiance actually works, socially and psychologically — and why your idea of what it means to be “defiant” might be standing in your way of actually practicing this skill. This will be a great talk about how to strengthen our resistance “muscle” — I hope you will join us!
