I’m sad not to have David Pepper join us to discuss his fantastic thriller, The Voter File, but he is indisposed with his campaign for Lt. Gov. of Ohio (which hopefully has not been hacked by Russian operatives, as per his novel!). But mainly I wanted to use his book as a vehicle to discuss current threats to elections at the state and national level, drawing on his deep experience with political campaigns. To that end, I still have the perfect person to discuss the topic: Marc Elias, author of Democracy Docket and one of the best, if not THE best, election litigators in the country. Marc is on top of Trump 2.0’s efforts to get a hold of state voter rolls by various means, and will explain why it can be so dangerous if they succeed — and what is happening in the efforts to stop it.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about the nuts and bolts of election threats from someone right at the front lines — I hope you can join us!
