After publishing my book — Failing Well — the week before last, I’ve been taking a bit of downtime from my usual reading and writing schedule. As a result, this is a much shorter post than usual: unlike the usual reviews of books and music, I’m sharing a number of fun and interesting links that I discovered through the week. We’ll be back to normal programming from next week onward!
Brilliant short film “Jal Tu Jalaal Tu”. Shot on an iPhone. I believe it’s based on a play by Chekov: don’t know which one. The director Prateek has credited Vishal Bharadwaj as a mentor in the closing credits. Worth the time.
A Beginners Guide to Graphic Novels was a good long-read. My only critique was with the recommendations and next steps: where are “Watchmen”, “V for Vendetta”, “The Killing Joke”, and other such classics?

May 2nd (spare me the “May the 4th be with you” memes) has to be the day of the week: I learnt that it is the birthday of Mario Miranda and of Satyajit Ray, via this tweet and wonderful image.
