Dear Writers,
This past Tuesday, Piera Marie joined us as a special guest and guided us through an inspiring Neurographica mini-workshop. It was just a taste of her 90-minute Make Your Mark™ playshop, but it was enough to open something up for many of us.
I’m still feeling excited about what she shared with us.
Resistance is resourceful and sneaky. It has so many little tactics it uses to keep us stuck, spinning, overthinking, and away from the page. So if we want to become more effective and productive writers, we also need to become more resourceful.
We need tools that help us meet resistance in different ways. That’s what I loved about this workshop. Instead of trying to think our way back into writing flow, Piera invited us to literally make marks, follow lines, soften edges, and let the hand lead for a while.
After going through the mini-workshop myself, I immediately felt my creative flow opening up. It felt playful, accessible, and surprisingly calming. Most importantly, it gave us another way to get to the other side of resistance.
Below, you’ll find the full workshop replay.
And for those interested, here is a link to Piera’s free weekly 90-minute event, Make Your Mark™, which I’ve already heard so many great things about.

And now for this week’s goodies…
This Week’s Guided Meditation
Theme: Borrow Confidence From Your Highest Self
This Week’s Writing Exercise
Borrow some confidence from the version of you we meditated with this week
Write a letter to a creator who has made a meaningful impact on your life.
It could be your favourite author, artist, musician, teacher, filmmaker, or anyone whose work has stayed with you.
Tell them honestly why their work has meant so much to you.
And if you’re feeling extra bold, ask if they’d be open to collaborating in some way that feels alive for you.
Maybe you invite them to be interviewed for your Substack or podcast. Maybe you ask them a question. Maybe you simply let them know their work mattered.
Be as honest as you can.
And remember, when you’re done, you can always burn this draft.
You don’t have to send it.
But you do get to feel what it feels like to tell the truth.
