Photographs are inherently embedded with nostalgia. It’s extraordinary how those of us who are photographers, we are not only making images but we are preserving little pieces of history for the families we capture. The moments we witness and document become more impactful, more precious over time. It is this, this stillness, that I find so beautiful, so something I cannot even out into words…I feel it. The heartbreak and the joy of longing for a moment both lost & honored in a photograph. This is nostalgia….
