This past Tuesday morning I open instagram and the first photo in the feed stops me in my tracks.
Because it is mine.
The joy of seeing my own photo (and the satisfaction of knowing a client is using their brand asset) is quickly eclipsed by disappointment. I stare at the photo - a vibrant, gorgeous, colourful shot of a retail store. My photo.
Not credited.
Not tagged.
No name mentioned in the text.
I check my notifications - crickets.
Nothing really describes the sinking feeling in your stomach when something doesn’t feel right. When you aren’t recognised for your work.
