Greeting Arthlete!
Today we wanted to share with you what we think about when we thing about drawing trees, in view of our upcoming drawing workshop which is all about drawing trees on the 4th of February 11.30am ET
There are whole books about trees across fiction and non fiction genres making it a subject matter that is always in demand. There is all manner of detail that we can add to our depiction of trees to enhance the stories they show up in.
Trees can even be characters in books, both as main characters and supporting almost characters. There’s can offer a sense of of place, but they can also be main characters.
Trees offer great storytelling devices like separating scenes and action like vignettes. Try using trees to create borders in visual narratives
Trees can set the tone and mood and even emotion of a scene. The same trees can be depicted differently to change the context of. Locations.
Everyone loves trees! Fill your scenes with trees and give your audience something to love.
What’s your favourite book with a tree in it and what’s your favourite thing about drawing trees? Leave a comment.
