Artemisia de Vine · Insightgasms! deVining Desire

Match Group (specifically Hinge) hired Esther Perel to help with dating prompts on their platform. They did this for her skill and her halo effect, and honestly, it was a great move. People love help with what to say leading up to the bedroom door, and god knows most people are notoriously bad at it!

But that’s where her help ends.

Esther Perel’s model of erotic intelligence is actually relational intelligence. She’s a pscyhologist, not a sexpert. While she has identified some powerful insights into the erotic, she hasn’t mapped the architecture of the erotic mind.

This means her work cannot be integrated into AI chatbots and companions, dating apps, or matchmaking strategies beyond conversational prompts. Nor can it help you actually understand and harness your own unique pattern of turn-ons in actionable ways on real-world date nights.

Most dating apps swing the pendulum towards those motivated to swipe for love OR those motivated by desire. If we go to Hinge, we are seeking long-term relationships, and if we go to Tinder, we are looking for hook-ups that might develop into something more if it works out well.

But what if there was a way to create dating apps that harnessed love and desire? After all, that is the fairytale we all really want to find, right? For this, we need a new model of erotic intelligence that finally integrates what no one has been able to before.

That’s what the deVinery Method brings to the world. A genuine paradigm shift from the foundation up. And with it, a chance to reframe what the erotic even is and how to form vibrant, healthy relationships with it.

What if a dating app could be both relationally and erotically intelligent and help people:

👉 Finally know what turns each other on and why. And how to bring it into real dates instead of hoping chemistry magically ignites just because you like each other.

👉 Stop the cycle of swiping for hookups or chasing “the one” and discover how to have both passion and love in the same relationship.

👉 Learn how to use your fantasies as fuel for relationship building, intimacy and excitement, not something to hide or feel ashamed of. De-shaming reduces shame-based social misfires and harmful behaviour.

👉 Build connections where sexual attraction doesn’t fade after three months, because you understand how to keep desire switched on in long-term relationships.

👉 Imagine dating apps and AI companions that don’t just give you prompts but help you understand what truly turns you on and how to play with it in real life. Which means that people keep using the app after they’ve matched to create erotic self-discovery together.

👉 App-IRL hybrid events: Curated real world social events, based on matchmaking algorithms that track compatible erotic pathways as well as lifestyle. (You’d still use your dating app to be matched and invited in the first place, and to get past shyness to match while you are at the event, or privately start the conversation later.

👉 To finally understand how to integrate the erotic into your whole self and share it with someone on the same page.

  • Boost retention — users stay engaged after they match because the app guides them into erotic self-discovery together.

  • Reduce churn & ghosting — by giving people tools to keep chemistry alive, not just get to a first date.

  • Increase match-to-meet conversion — compatibility is based on what actually drives desire, not just surface preferences.

  • Differentiate the brand — moving beyond “prompts and swipes” into a new category: erotically intelligent platforms.

The world is actually ready to have honest conversations about both sex and love, and the deVinery Method is the engine that makes that possible.

Stay tuned for an in-depth blog showing exactly how The deVinery Method moves beyond Esther Perel and is the model of erotic intelligence powering the intimacy economy and the future of sex.
