Problems!!

Yikes! Printing issues! This is a “proof” of the paperback. I’m working with the printer to fix this. Hopefully the hardback will be perfect ha ha!

I try to reframe “problems” as “challenges” but the anxiety is real as it’s less than a month to publication!

Sadly, I have not painted for months due to book-related projects. This is an old painting, The Dying of Love. In my darkest moments, I fear I will never paint again.

But I find myself "mind painting” — choosing colors and arranging the composition all in my head! I have no shortage of ideas for future paintings.

Amos was commissioned to draw scenes reflecting California landscape and culture for Swatch watches.

Many people are asking Amos where they can buy the watches, but unfortunately, they're only available in the San Jose store and not even online. Some superfans have already made the trek to San Jose! Amos’ website. Amos on instagraam

As Always…

I couldn’t find any songs about ‘weird’ so here is a song about ‘foolish’ things “These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You.)”2 Music by Jack Strachey, lyrics by Eric Machwitz, 1935.

These Foolish Things - Lyrics

Oh, will you never let me be?
Oh, will you never set me free?
The ties that bound us are still around us
There's no escape that I can see
And still those little things remain
That bring me happiness or pain

A cigarette that bears a lipstick's traces
An airline ticket to romantic places
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things remind me of you

A tinkling piano in the next apartment
Those stumbling words that told you what my heart meant
A fairground's painted swings
These foolish things remind me of you

You came, you saw, you conquered me
When you did that to me
I knew somehow this had to be

The winds of March that make my heart a dancer
A telephone that rings but who's to answer?
Oh, how the ghost of you clings!
These foolish things remind me of you

First daffodils and long excited cables
And candle lights on little corner tables
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things remind me of you

The park at evening when the bell has sounded
The "Ile de France" with all the gulls around it
The beauty that is Spring's
These foolish things remind me of you

How strange, how sweet to find you still
These things are dear to me
They seem to bring you near to me

The sigh of midnight trains in empty stations
Silk stockings thrown aside dance invitations
Oh, how the ghost of you clings!
These foolish things remind me of you

Gardenia perfume lingering on a pillow
Wild strawberries only seven francs a kilo
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things remind me of you

Music by Jack Strachey, lyrics by Eric Machwitz, 1935.
