Armoire · DOT STYLE from Armoire

The calendar says summer isn’t over yet, but somehow we all know the countdown has begun. There are still beach weekends to book, patios to linger on, and Labor Day plans to make. Soon enough we’ll be reaching for jackets and boots. But not yet.

We’re here to squeeze every last drop out of summer style.

Now is the moment for breezy dresses that catch the wind, saturated colors that look even better in golden hour light, playful matching sets, crochet textures, linen separates, and lightweight knits that carry you effortlessly from sightseeing to sunset cocktails. Wear the bold print. Choose the bright yellow skirt. Say yes to the tropical dress you worried was “too much.” Summer is the season for joyful dressing, and these are the final weeks to fully embrace it.

Because before we start talking about sweaters, this is last call for summer.

Matching shorts sets have a very specific window, and we are officially in it. Soon, bare legs and lightweight knits will give way to pants and heavier layers, so now is the time to give these standout sets a few more outings while you can. The beauty is that the outfit is practically done for you. Bonus points for a playful print or bright color that feels unmistakably summer.

There may be nothing easier than throwing on one great maxi dress and letting it do all the work. The most summery versions are also the ones we’ll miss most: breezy fabrics, saturated stripes, cutouts, open necklines, and silhouettes made for sandals instead of boots. Wear them now with colorful accessories and an oversized button-down for an extra layer that won’t make the outfit feel any less summery.

Before tights, tall boots, and sweater dresses enter the chat, give those leg-baring little dresses their moment. A short shift with an easy silhouette is exactly what you want when the forecast still says summer, and it doesn’t need much styling to feel finished. This is one of those outfits that makes getting dressed ridiculously easy, which is all the more reason to wear it on repeat before it goes into hibernation.

That bright, printed mini skirt you’ve been eyeing? Consider this your deadline. Pair it with an equally colorful top rather than trying to tone it down. There will be plenty of time for denim, trousers, and fall neutrals later. Right now, the goal is to wear the pieces that simply won’t hit the same once the temperature drops.

These are the outfits that belong to long weekends, warm evenings, and the final stretch of a season worth celebrating. Let’s give summer the send-off it deserves.
