One of our intrepid readers suggested we might get a thunderstorm overnight. I poo-poo’d the idea.
At 1:30am I awoke to a modest-sized storm throwing bolts and addressing us with raindrops. 0.16” fell overnight. Once again, Gilbert/Mesa/Chandler to the Southeast and Surprise to the Northwest were spared entertainment.
This brings us to 1.26” of rain for the season in the West Valley, an approximately “normal” or “average” amount for the season-to-date. Does it matter to anybody that 1.16” fell in the past 32 hours while 0.10” fell in the first 38ish days?
