Have you found that you have asked yourself this question that perhaps you are “on the wrong time line”? By this I mean, “I don’t think I belong on the current timeline. You know, the one filled with war, injustice and pain in the world?” I know I have. Have you found that you have asked yourself this question that perhaps you are “on the wrong time line”? By this I mean, “I don’t think I belong on the current timeline. You know, the one filled with war, injustice and pain in the world?” I know I have. Don’t we live in an evolving world, one where people are constantly healing, wanting a better life filled with empathy, peace and more? How could it be possible that today we would be seeing something so horrible in this world as the war the world finds itself in?

A concept you have probably thought about that we cannot see something in the world if there is not some matching frequency or energy within us. You may have heard this expressed as “as above, so below”. The phrase has its origin in a text known as the Emerald Tablet, attributed to Hermes Trismegistus (thus the philosophy of hermeticism). Versions of the Emerald Tablet were found in Arabic texts as far back as the 8th century AD. The original translated text is, “That which is above is like that which is below.” We now recognize this as an expression of consciousness. The entire world that we see is merely a projection of that which is within us. If there is an energy that exists within you, you will see it in the outer world.

Well, that brings us to the timeline. Is it possible that we are seeing war, violence, injustice and more because some of that energy still exists within us? I believe that it is possible that if even a molecule of that energy is still within us, it may be mirrored in the collective energy that we observe each day. How should we proceed, if we recognize this? The answer is likely something you have been thinking about for a long time: the most powerful way to change the world is to change yourself. I imagine you have been doing this for many years to heal past wounds and traumas. Perhaps the heightened events of late are a communication to us as a collective. Maybe we are being nudged go review to see if there is anything else we can complete in the clearing of these past energies.

Let’s do some more practical exploration of how this might work. As you do this work, you may find that it begins to release the emotional charge that the current world events are having for you. It seems very human to be outraged, angry and overwhelmed when we see witness violence, destruction and human suffering. What happens to us as we experience these emotions? We become burned out, exhausted, drained. Is this a good use of our life force? How should we process these experiences?

One way to approach this is to practice seeing what is happening as a witness, much the way we can more objectively witness our thoughts and not judge them. We can observe the emotional reactions. If even one cell is still holding the residue of a past charged emotional experience, we may still see this reality. The concept is that as we clear the trauma, emotion or energy from our field it will begin to shift and change what we are seeing in the outer world. This is how we shift a timeline and it is probably the most powerful “activism” work we could do to change the trajectory of events and bring about world peace, prosperty and mutal respect and collaboration I know that so many of us want.

So, what do we do? Become divine observers of the situation and then contemplate if there is some small piece of this that resonates or matches something within us. Here are a couple of examples and how to do the clearing.

What you may observe: “We are at war and we are hurting others! This is awful!”

Question for you: How have I hurt someone in the past and perhaps not understood the impact? Close your eyes and allow a movie to be shown in front of you. Do not make to much effort; allow it to flow. See the person and circumstance in which you may have hurt someone in the past.

Script for you to practice release: I recognize that in the past I have hurt ___________________ (person). I offer all of my apologies. I am so sorry that I acted in this way. I ask that I may forgive myself and know that I have conducted myself very different in my relationships now. (this is done for yourself. You do not need to contact the person unless you feel moved to do so.)

I can see that the root cause of hurting this person was because of my _________________ (emotion, ie fear, resentment, jealousy). I now ask for the ability to completely release this from my field. I now ask that my cells and my being are completely cleared of this energy and that every cell becomes filled with the energy of love, truth and peace.

This is a good exercise for to help to process many of the emotions that we feel during this time. The things that you observe from current world events that cause you to have the strongest emotional reactions are showing you the theme of the unresolved energies within you. Let’s look at another example.

What you may observe: “The actions of ICE are abysmal. People are being treated so terribly. They are being treated without fairness and without justice.”

Question for you: Is there a place in my life where I treated someone without fairness or justice. Please remember these could have been very minor issues and much more innocuous than anything the government has done of late, but they could still hold the same resonant energy. Close your eyes and allow a movie to be shown in front of you. Do not make too much effort. Allow it to flow. See the person and the circumstances by which you where that injustice was in the past.

Script for you to practice release: I recognize that in the past I have hurt ___________________ (person). I offer all of my apologies. I am so sorry that I acted in this way. I ask that I may forgive myself and know that I have conducted myself very different in my relationships now.

Find the places where you feel the strongest emotion about the situation or about a leader or a political figure that you find the most anger, frustration, annoyance. This will be an excellent mirror.

Observation: “I am so angry at our political leaders. They are selfish and in their actions they don’t see what they are doing to others.”

Question for you: “Is there any time in my life that I acted out of pure selfishness, resulting in outcomes that affected others negatively from my actions, that I did not or could not see at that time.” Close your eyes and allow a movie to be shown in front of you. Do not make too much effort. Allow it to flow. See the person and the circumstances by which your actions affected others. Use the previous script presented above to completely clear the energy.

This may seem like a simple exercise. It is, but it is also very powerful. Just being present and recognize the issue begins the process of clearing. The words you speak are extremely powerful. Recognizing the past event and just being willing to release it and “make amends” causes a powerful shift in your energy field, your body and this shift ultimately affects everyone. And as you know, we are all collectively part of this field.

Everything during our earth experience provides us with an opportunity to learn and grow. This process that I have described can feel very cleansing and like a weight is lifted. I understand that at times it can feel like a stretch that this would cause powerful change in the world. The best metric to know if this could be true is to look at how it makes you feel internally? Does the process reduce some of the charge that you felt previously? The other things to do during these stressful times are the things that make you feel whole, nourished and supported. More self-care, spending time doing more things that really give you joy and fulfillment. Every thing in your outer world is the result of the thoughts that you have been thinking and the words you have been saying. You are constantly creating the world around you with every word, every thought and every intention. As you do this work, you will move into a higher vibration very naturally.

In David Hawkins book, “Power vs Force”, he says that by taking responsibility for the consequences of their own perceptions, observers can transcend the role of victim to an understanding that “nothing out there has power over you. It is not life’s events, but how one reacts to them that determines whether they are experienced as opportunity or stress.”

If you have not read the book, he is able to test people to see where they are energetically on a scale of consciousness. The lower numbers on his scale represent the predominant experience of life in charged emotions like shame (which gets the lowest score of 20), then guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire anger and pride (which we are then up at a scale of 175). These higher numbers are a sign of moving forward, progressing in one’s life. As we process these emotions and make peace with them, we can arrive at the experince of having courage which gets a score of 200. The next experience, which has a score of 250, is an interesting one. It is to experience the world in neutrality. I think a way to peace in these times is to consciously working on attaining this neutrality.

We live in a dualistic world, where opposites are always paired. Black and white, right and wrong, joy and sadness. In this world of duality, we have been “controllable” because of the power of polarization. Hawkins says, “Polarization creates opposition and division. As in the martial arts, a rigid position becomes a point of vulnerability. That which does not bend is liable to break. Rising above barriers or oppositions that dissipate one’s energies, the neutral condition allows for flexibility and nonjudmental realistic appraisal of problems. To be neutral means to be relatively unattached to outcomes.”

He continues, “People of neutrality have a sense of well-being; the mark of this level is a confident capability to live in the world. This is, therefore, experientially a level of safety. People at this level are easy to get along with, safe to be around and associate with, because they are not interested in conflict, competition, or guilt.”

Much of this really resonates and I realized I have been working on this concept of getting to neutrality in processing the current world events. What if somehow, out of this extreme activity, something good is being born? What is we are being pushed all the way to our edge in order to make a decision to radically change that which has not worked for so long? These things we are experiencing are causing many people to wake up and become very aware of things that were once hidden. We can develop this wonderful sense of neutrality in this dualistic world to become a more neutral observer. This also allows us to maintain our health and wellness during this time.

You might not technically be in “harm’s way” (and thank goodness if you are not), but you can be suffering greatly emotionally. The thoughts we are thinking have an effect on us. If we are in a constant state of anxiety about world events, this can have an adverse effect on us. Processing events to reach the state of neutrality can be very helpful and help to bring you to a state of peace and calmness even in the storm.

I have been thinking much about the clearing process, the neutrality contemplation and the concept that are thoughts are constantly creating our reality. So, I have also been visualizing and imagining our world collectively achieving a state of consciousness that effortlessly moves us into a state of peace and collaboration. I imagine it as if the earth cannot hold any other vibration as we all begin to embody that energy so strongly. Those who are not in resonance with these energies of compassion, empathy, kindness, respect and more simply lose the power to control through the energetic change and even seem to fade away, out of view. We may see these things as miracles that begin to happen around us. I can feel that beautiful timeline shift right now…
