Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a beautiful weekend. On Sunday it was 81 degrees and sunny in NY–a perfect summer day in fall–and I spent two hours outside with my daughter painting on the front yard and sitting on the porch. (It was lovely.) Though I’m not complaining about an eternal summer, the arrival of capital F Fall: book releases, fashion, soups and more, has me craving a bit of a chill in the air. (Even if just for a few days.) On that note, a few of my latest finds in the spirit of the season, for when it does decide to arrive:

Eden Grinshpan’s delicious “Chicken Soup with Israeli Couscous” (photo by @edeneats) and the table set for a cozy breakfast at my Pine Plains project.
  • I collect interior design books, and nothing gets me more excited than the new releases in fall and spring. I’ve received some absolute gems that I forgot I had preordered months ago (as one does), and they all have a decidedly British twist. Sims Hilditch: Beautifully British Interiors is a gorgeous exploration of the incredibly talented UK designer Emma Sims-Hilditch’s and the wide breadth of her portfolio, from country seats to London townhomes. In that same vein, Nicola Harding’s Homing Instinct, another English designer, delves into her layered and colorful projects across the globe. The London Club: Architecture, Interiors, Art just landed at my doorstep and I can’t wait to crack into its behind the scenes photography of the most iconic private clubs in London, from The Savile Club to the RAF club–there are 46 in total and I can’t wait to pour over the history behind each. And perhaps the most British of all, recently released The Bible of British Taste by the beloved Ruth Guilding explores just that. Perfect with a cup of tea.
