My version of counting sheep: mentally packing for our next trip. We leave for France tomorrow! Family time intertwined with great food, meetings, and shopping in Paris.
Everything I’m bringing is essential and multi-purpose.
The mood is carefree but never careless.
I’m leaving room for everything that will serendipitously find me.
Of course, it’s not everything, but here are the key pieces I am most excited to wear for play, work, and dinner.
This blue poplin shirt is the star of the trip. Impeccable craftsmanship, cotton that only gets better. Iron it once, then let it do its thing. I found more sizes available here!
I'm wearing it over a swimsuit, with linen shorts, over the softest black trousers, as a third layer, over a bra — it goes everywhere.
This green suede bag adds a dimension nothing else in my suitcase does. Shoulder bag, clutch, cross-body — the colour alone is stunning. We’ve got a code: ARDAS15.
Any bottoms + a crisp white tee, freshly ironed. I bring 5-6 and it's not excessive: my favourite oversized white t-shirt, this one (oversized but lighter, for warmer days, code ARDAS10), these baby tees (x2), and a high V-neck perfectly cut. Plus a 3€ stain pen.
Black nappa, modern, comfortable footbed — perfect for my 15,000-step days in Paris.
Summer in France doesn't mean warm. This navy 100% cotton crewneck goes over everything — very Ophelia. I’ll wear it with my new COS trousers.
One black linen dress with pockets. Not boring — I love the shoulder straps. Wear it with metallic flats, red flip flops (code ARDASCHANDRA10), or kitten heels. The dress also comes in white for a Scandi vibe. I wear this nude boyshort underneath.
The 501 90s Selvedge Levi’s. You know the ones. And a potential new contender for petites: this pair, arriving tomorrow, hopefully before we leave for the airport.
The navy crewneck, this butter yellow cashmere shirt, or this thin cotton long sleeve that folds into a bag. Summer knitwear, sorted.
The Wayfarers. Seen a thousand times, and I finally get it. Exact frame: RB2140 901 50-22 (screenshot this).
I have 3 really good options. This olive leather tote, this nylon travel tote, and this black vertical leather tote. All fit a laptop, magazines, a water bottle and daily essentials.
A grey sweatshirt, this Tibi blazer (takes no space), and this tweed jacket to throw over a tank. I'll pick up the tank in Paris (in black and in white).
SPF, sunglasses, a good book, and this black one-piece that doubles as a top. This one is my other favourite, with the plunge neckline! For D→H cup, this one is timeless, and this one if you like underwire. And I bring a bandeau top, always. For C→G cup, here is a good one.
Yes, my LED mask — code ARDAS) (10 minutes while meditating — I’m the habit-stacking queen). It travels in my tote bag. And my at-home facial / lymphatic drainage / collagen booster device (fits in my pocket) (with this gel) — code ARDASZIIP.
I went years without perfume until Abel changed that. The Apartment is my current obsession: the invisible layer that brings me back to my center — and makes sure I'm the best-smelling person in the room.
