October — Month in Review

October was a month of <encrypted> acceleration. Progress converged across community, ecosystem, and tech.

• Phase 2 launched.

At the beginning of the month, we launched Phase 2 of the public testnet, bringing the largest suite of encrypted applications to Solana. People can now use and build encrypted apps across a range of verticals. Arx Nodes can be deployed and tested by anyone, marking a significant step in our journey toward decentralization.

We implemented extensive feedback from developers and partners, bringing major performance, UX, and stability improvements, all aimed at making encrypted app development as intuitive and developer-friendly as possible.

Phase 2 was our most important milestone yet, activating the infrastructure that will define the next generation of applications on Solana and beyond.

Arcium’s success will be measured by the number of applications and products it powers. Following the success of the Developer Fellowship, Phase 2 introduced the largest suite of private apps on Solana, showcasing use cases across DeFi, Gaming, and more. The ecosystem is beginning to self-assemble around a core principle: encrypted compute unlocks a new design space for both new and existing applications.

The launch of Umbra Privacy’s ICO on MetaDAO achieved historic scale. Built on Arcium, the sale garnered industry-wide attention and signaled major interest in privacy-first systems.
