ArbitrumDAO is currently in the process of electing 6 new members for the March 2024 Cohort of the Security Council from a pool of 20 qualified candidates.
Only two days remain for the Arbitrum Security Council elections, and here is the current list of the six potential candidates. We encourage delegates to exercise their voting rights and participate in this election.

Azuki is gifting Azuki #723 to the Arbitrum DAO treasury.

Arbitrum Research & Development Committee (ARDC) Advocate DAO Updates
The Arbitrum Research & Development Committee (ARDC) is now fully operational following the completion of legal procedures, including KYC/KYB processes by all members. With early task assignments and some deliverables already published, the ARDC is making significant progress.
Current projects include STIP Analysis Case Studies, a review of the Gaming Catalyst Program, and security considerations for the Event Horizon proposal. These efforts aim to enhance understanding and provide comprehensive insights for the DAO. The ARDC remains committed to supporting the DAO through ongoing research and development efforts, available to delegates for consultation.

Adding a Security SME to the ADPC
Following community feedback, the ADPC has engaged DeDaub, a reputable security firm known for its collaborations with major blockchain projects, to assist with crafting RFPs and selecting security service providers. DeDaub will be compensated with 12,000 ARB for their expertise, while an additional 10,000 ARB will be allocated as an operational buffer for the ADPC.
A Snapshot vote is required to approve these funds, ensuring the ADPC can proceed without delays. To ensure transparency and avoid conflicts of interest, DeDaub will not participate in the RFP process.

Stable Treasury Endowment Program Applications
The Arbitrum Stable Treasury Endowment Program has extended its application deadline to May 5th.

STIP Bridge Addendums Applications
The deadline to finalize Addendums for all protocols that were part of the STIP and are looking to participate in the STIP Bridge is May 3rd, 2024.
This program is available for any project that was selected to be funded in either STIP or the backfund. You can find all the necessary information here.
Arbitrum Fellowships Groups
A new initiative has emerged from the Onboarding Working Group within the DAO, evolving into five teams led by community leaders and contributors.
These teams are dedicated to enhancing the DAO’s impact across five key areas: Ecosystem Mapping, Developer Relations, Education and Content, Business Development, and Social Media.
Arbitrum DAO Onboarding for new contributors
Over 50 new individuals interested in contributing to ArbitrumDAO have attended the welcome calls in the first weeks of the onboarding group’s execution. In the coming weeks, they will receive participation instructions tailored to their profiles and skills.
If you’re interested in participating, the meetings occur every Monday at 1 pm UTC and Thursday at 11 pm UTC.

AIP: BOLD - permissionless validation for Arbitrum
BOLD aims to enable permissionless validation across Arbitrum chains and enhance security by mitigating delay attacks. This protocol ensures that any single honest party can successfully defend against false claims to an Arbitrum chain’s state, marking a crucial advancement towards establishing Arbitrum as a Stage 2 Ethereum rollup.

Temperature Check: Change Arbitrum Expansion Program to allow deployments of new Orbit chains on any blockchain
The Arbitrum Expansion Program is proposed to be expanded to enable deployments of Orbit chains on blockchains beyond just those deriving security from Ethereum. This proposal seeks community feedback on allowing Orbit chains to launch on networks like Bitcoin, Binance Smart Chain, Cosmos, among others.
AIP: Nova Fee Router Proposal
This proposal seeks to streamline the handling of transaction fees on Nova by automating their transfer to the Arbitrum DAO Treasury on Arbitrum One. This system change will allow for faster, more efficient access to funds and simplify financial management within the DAO.
AIP: Support RIP-7212 for Account Abstraction Wallets
This proposal advocates the adoption of RIP-7212, which introduces a precompile for the secp256r1 curve, facilitating the use of account abstraction wallets that leverage passkeys and secure enclaves. The implementation of this precompile aims to significantly reduce operational costs and improve the user experience on Arbitrum One and Nova.

LTIPP Applications (Post Council Feedback)(Snapshot)
Protocols not initially recommended by the council have now submitted their proposals to Snapshot. They are available with comments and feedback, enabling the community to determine their eligibility for funding from the LTIPP program.

Double-Down on STIP Successes (STIP-Bridge) (On-Chain)
The STIP Bridge is a strategic initiative within the LTIPP program designed to support key protocols in the Arbitrum ecosystem, providing a bridge to the forthcoming Perpetual Incentives Program. It aims to sustain Arbitrum’s market position by offering timely incentives to essential projects, ensuring their continued commitment and engagement in a competitive Layer 2 landscape.
