A PERSONAL NOTE:
At 1am Saturday (this morning), I woke up to my entire body itching from head to toe. I got up and went to the bathroom and noticed the outside around my mouth was numb.
So of course I started googling.
I told google of the new magnesium sleep drink I had before dinner, of the mosquito bites I had gotten on my walk….
and it kept telling me to go to the ER because it was probably an allergic reaction.
I decided to wait, lol.
Then, around 1:40, I noticed around my face was starting to swell up pretty significantly.
I added that to google.
“Stop using your phone to ask questions and go to the ER immediately,” it said.
lol
So I decided I might need to wake my husband up to let him know what was going on.
He ran through the list of questions to check on me and said yes, it was probably an allergic reaction and he began getting ready in case we decided to go to the ER.
I wasn’t quite ready for that so I decided to shave my legs.
Because who wants to go to the ER with hairy legs if they can help it? lol And I had meant to do it the night before anyway.
And while I was shaving, I was meditating on truth… things like… “What do you expect? Following Christ isn’t supposed to be “easy.” While it would be nice to have a nice little controllable life carved out, that’s not what I am here for. I am here on mission from the Most High God, and a dangerous one at that. I’m in enemy territory and I can expect resistance, I can expect discomfort, I can expect dangerous working conditions, but I am stronger than that and have been given everything I need for life and godliness.”
And a funny thing happened.
As I was pondering on these truths, I “saw” exactly what was going on.. .
With renewed insight I told my husband, “I’m not going to the hospital. I know what this is. This is the devil trying to intimidate me.”
In that moment, I knew how to fight. I knew what I needed to do.
I prayed.
I prayed in the authority and victory of Jesus..
You see, the enemy doesn’t want us praying with shameless audacity. He doesn’t want me sharing with YOU the lessons and insights I’ve learned and US joining together in prayer.
He doesn’t want us shaking the gates of hell and boldly approaching the throne of heaven.
He tried to intimidate me last night… and you can be sure he will try to intimidate you from being part of this class.
DON’T LET HIM.
Because Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords and has placed all things under His feet and He has given us the authority to go in His name. To stand on His word. To ASK IN HIS NAME.
Don’t let the enemy intimidate you.
Lies and intimidation are the only weapons he has. He will try his best to deceive, distract, and discourage. Be aware of his schemes and PRESS ON.
Don’t listen to his vile, empty mouth.
If you are reading this, this course is for you. Don’t let him talk you out of if.
I’m all in. Let’s do this.
(p.s. After praying and singing for about an hour and a half last night, I went back to sleep and feel better this morning. I’m going to my Saturday Sisters prayer time, where I pray with my 2 prayer partners and I’m expecting GREAT THINGS. I’ll go from there AFTER prayer. The devil can kiss it. To God be the glory.)
