Naija Poetry Fest’s Poetic Rendezvous returns this August with “Empty Chair: Everyone Has A Story,” a spoken-word and poetry gathering taking place in Lagos.

Poets You Should Know is a recurring Alliance Française Nairobi community series that creates space for poetry and spoken-word performance.

The August edition, themed “Katiba”, the Swahili word for Constitution, looks at how Kenya’s Gen Z has come to engage with the Constitution, particularly a generation many of whom were children or had not yet been born when it was promulgated in 2010.
