"Nation" is defined by Endogamy

I recently watched an interview between Sarah Stock and Keith Woods on the question of "Is race a social construct" where they focused specifically on whether "White American" is a valid 'nationality' or if nationality should only be applied for "Irish, English, German, etc." and their American counterparts (Irish-American, German-American, etc.).

RiftTV is a topic for another day, but the company appears to be promoted in the algorithm for "dissident rightists" like myself and has recruited guys like Woods and "ChaoticHermes" meant to appeal to the newer youthful audience of the internet right… and yet, it appears to be the latest spawn in a media genealogy that goes back to Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network. Again, I may touch on this in a future paper, but briefly:

A key producer of Elijah Schaefer's RiftTV is a man named Mike Mendoza. Mendoza is married to Lauren Witzke. Witzke got her start with Rick Wiles' TruNews, and Wiles was a protege of Robertson.

Much more could be said about this genealogy but for now it suffices to say that RiftTV is the latest in a multi-decade 'alt media' machine that has profited by churning the same old diversions and controversies that keep dissidents watching and talking, rather than acting or overthrowing.

But, like everyone else, I am also interested in knowledge for its own sake and can't fault them too much for simply exchanging ideas on abstract topics like race and nation. Therefore, I submit to you, dear reader, my thoughts on this topic below. I believe my definitions and their application greatly simplify the questions Stock and Woods pondered in their interview and I believe they provide a novel approach.

Let us begin with definitions, starting with the most specific, and ending with most general.

Ethnic group: A group of people which practices endogamy for any reason– generally, because of geographic isolation, religion, social taboo, etc.

Nation: a sovereign group of people which practices endogamy and enforces it with codified law

Race: a group of nations and/or ethnic groups which has diverged from a recent common ancestral nation or ethnic groups

The key idea that ties each of these categories together is, of course, the practice of endogamy. All other definitions like “shared ancestry/language/culture/history” etc. are downstream from practicing endogamy. A person could also conceivably lack most of those qualities (say, Tarzan, who was raised in Africa and yet was still an Englishman) because he was the product of endogamy. Conversely, a person could conceivably have all of those qualities (a modern mixed race person today technically “has” all the the ancestors as the English mother or father, speaks the English language, even assimilates English culture, yet is not white) but if they are the product of exogamy, they aren’t of that nation. Endogamy, therefore, is the only quality that can be consistently applied in every context.

This means, the only way to truly kill a race, nation, or ethnicity is not to erase their culture or language or religion… but to end their practice of endogamy. A race can lose everything BUT endogamy and still persist.

Moving on to "race", the genetic history of the European race also aligns with my stated definitions. The European race had its genesis primarily in the admixture of Early European Farmers, Western Hunter-Gatherers, and Yamnaya steppe peoples. These groups combined to form a more or less stable admixed population that remained reproductively isolated for thousands of years. While reproductively isolated (endogamous) they diverged into various groups which themselves remained relatively endogamous– Celts, Germanics, Nordics, Mediterraneans, Slavs, Baltics, etc. This group of ethnicities/nations are a race because they all derive from a single stable base population.

This definition can even be applied consistently in the 'archaic' context which 'race' used to be applied by 19th century anthropologists; e.g. "the French race", or "the Irish race" etc.

Let's take Ireland, for example. The Irish became a "race" because they provided a stable endogamous base population for other regional populations to diverge and begin endogamy themselves. Up until recent times, regional populations were distinguishable and remained relatively isolated. The western Gaels were not the same as the Northerners. Norse-Gaels remained a coherent ethnic enclave. Various clans held territories and reproduced only with other local clans. Hence, Ireland was a nation but also a race because it contained within itself various 'microethnic' branches that were relatively endogamous in themselves.

Now, let us apply these concepts to "White Americans". The American nation originally, like the European nation, was formed by an admixture of a limited number of parent nations– English, Germans, Dutch, Scottish, and Irish. This original founding stock formed a somewhat stable admixture, which remained relatively endogamous for many generations. Controlling and limiting immigration from Europe to only those nations which were deemed to be closely related enough to fit in with this genetic profile was crucial to the founders, as well as American leaders up into the 20th century.

Up to the 1920s, the immigration policy allowed for significant numbers to come only from Northwest European nations– effectively limiting the definition of "White American" and preserving the endogamy of the founding population.

Even today, southern and eastern European groups in America remain separate and endogamous within America. Italian-American, Polish-American, and Ukrainian-American communities, to just name a few, persist because they still practice endogamy within America and have not admixed with the Northwest European population.

The reason this is not an obvious fact to most people is that the American nation was essentially strangled in its crib by subversive elements who slowly slipped more and more 'edge case' nationalities like the Poles, Jews, and Italians, into the definition of "White" in America. This opened the door for the full destruction of the race later when the law was changed to allow anyone from anywhere to enter America and become fully "American". Once our immigration policies were changed and anti-miscegenation laws were overturned, endogamy for the original American stock was basically outlawed and the nation snuffed out just as it was stabilizing and coming into its own.

In fact, at its height in the 1800s, America was even on its way to becoming a 'race'. New Englanders, Midwesterners, Southerners, etc. had already branched off to form relatively stable population groups, and their vigor and cultural potential was so great that these still persist today in the zombified form of shallow stereotypes. But, had America remained unspoiled by international elites, these groups would have become bona fide ethnic enclaves within a nation, and the American Race would have been fully manifested into existence.
