The Future is Jewish

do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.

Romans 11:18

We are watching the collapse of society. It doesn’t matter anymore what region of the country or world you are in, the decay is undeniable.

Morally, spiritually, economically, by all sorts of reasonable measure, the world is withering and fading in its outward glory. The sinfulness of the world is no longer able to hide in the heart, it is worn on the face.

This is no different if you look to “the church". Most people don’t qualify that last word - church - and so in this instance I mean what people normally mean when they say “the church” - this is the church that the world looks at and says “those are the church people,” “the Jesus freaks,” etc. The church people are as Jesus says, like salt of the earth that has lost their saltiness. They are only good for people to trample upon like ordinary soil. They are unrecognizable compared to church people only a few decades ago, they are worldlings in sheep’s clothing.

In the 11th chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans, Paul shares something like his parting words to the Gentile Christianity that he helped to establish and which has more or less continued for 2,000 years.

He tells them that their acceptance as “the church” or in another term “the people of God” is not some kind of permanent decree of God. The Jews and Paul himself before his conversion felt that the Jewish title as “the People [of God]” was an untouchable promise that would never be soiled by God or man.

Paul after learning the gospel and worshiping the Jewish Messiah, changed his tune. He saw the handiwork of God was to take an arrogant Jewish people who had rejected the truth of Jesus = Jewish Messiah and to put them by the wayside and make them benchsitters for the next two millennia in terms of what God was doing.

But God putting the star people, the Jews, on the sidelines of his work was not permanent. Paul wanted the Gentiles whom he literally died to defend and support as “the people of God” and “the work of God” - that they too have a foundation that is mercy not entitlement. The Gentile title as “God’s people” is as subject to change as the Jews of Jesus’ day.

So we have Paul saying things like:

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.

Romans 11:17-18

Just as the gentiles had spent the eons before Jesus arrived in human form doing absolutely nothing worthy of the favor of God, so likewise the Jews have been entrenched in unbelief toward the redeemer, their own Messiah for 2000 years.

The countless judgments God poured on them, principally the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, and God’s refusal to allow the temple to be rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate, or any other season including this one is evidence that God is not in a mood to rebuild what he tore down (animal sacrifice-based attonement).

Nevertheless, it is extraordinary that even with the total apostasy of Judiasm propper in the 2000 years since Christ died and was raised, that God still has a large purpose for them as his people.

God preserved the Jews through countless banishments, pogroms, and a holocaust, not to mention the amazing survival and success of the Modern Jewish State, Israel.

If providence were not evidence enough of God’s protection, support and a future purpose for the Jews we have further evidence still in the Prophets’ and Apostles’ writings.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zechariah 12:10

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:11-14

& The Apostles:

For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,

“THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION,

HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.”

Romans 11:25-26

And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 19:28

If you wonder why there is suddenly such annimosity toward the Jews - even from protestant circles, look no further than God’s impending acceptance of the Jews as his people.

The time of the gentiles is up. The time of the Bene Elohim Jews is on its way.
