Gone underground

I’ve put This day’s portion in what I’m terming “hibernation mode” for a little bit (well, it was cold last night). That means:

The reason? Well, the curse of having a distinctive name means Google has, legitimately enough, linked this site and me because other kind folk have linked here from their blogs using a [My name] says… format. As that’s the whole point of the internet I can hardly complain. It’s not like I don’t have a links section.

Ah, the irony of my don’t put analytics on your blog post causing this problem.

I’m fine, by the way.

Now, if you’re already following me on Mastodon or via RSS we’re all good. My fedi account is follower-approved and the RSS feeds still work. I may well set up a feed with every post ever if you did want to browse the blog.

And when I say “hibernation” that’s not quite right. As I’ve formed a sort of leaky, closed network by making this site un-navigable and subscription undiscoverable, I can still post to existing subscribers. And you’re more than welcome to email me at mail@thisdaysportion.com.

This will no doubt end up on fucking Hacker News or something.
