Districts of Slovakia

I updated the populations to the 2001 census, and corrected some of the accented characters in district names.

The eight regions of Slovakia are further divided into 79 districts. Each district has a three-digit code which begins with the digit representing its region. The districts are subdivided into municipalities. Each municipality has a six-digit code, of which the first three digits indicate the district. To add to the confusion, there are also two-character codes for the districts (two letters, or one letter and one digit).

Area: Recent estimates provided by Karem Abdalla. Capitals: Have the same name as their district, excluding Roman numerals.
