Community Update — Monroe Street Fair
There will be no Monroe Street Fair taking place this year.
After many years, the environment around campus has changed in ways that make it impractical to produce the fair responsibly at this time. No vendor applications or commitments have been accepted for the current year.
Any discussions about future years are exploratory only and remain paused while broader considerations are reviewed. Please do not assume timelines, formats, or outcomes.
We appreciate the community’s long history with Monroe Street and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Community Update — Monroe Street Fair
Importantly, there will be no Monroe Street Fair infrastructure or amenities associated with this year’s gathering. That means:
• No permitted vending
• No organized event layout
• No contracted port-a-potties
• No coordinated street closures
• No staging, fencing, or structured footprint
• No garbage management on Monroe Street and Tappan and its adjacent campus areas.
• No staffing or volunteer operations
Attendees should be aware that none of the typical Monroe Street Fair accommodations will be in place this year and should plan accordingly.
Monroe Street Fair
The Monroe Street Fair is taking a purposeful pause.
After many consecutive years, the environment surrounding the event has evolved. Crowd dynamics, regulatory conditions, and campus activity patterns have shifted in ways that require thoughtful reassessment.
This pause is intentional.
It allows space to:
- Observe conditions without operational pressure
- Evaluate long-term sustainability
- Consider structural changes responsibly
- Step back from active production
No vendor applications have been accepted for the current year.
No operational plans are underway.
This is not a closure. It is a deliberate reset.
Any discussions regarding future years are exploratory only and remain paused until broader considerations are fully reviewed.

Ann Arbor Monroe Street Fair 2025 POSTER by TROG
Trevor Rogan, professionally known as TROG, is an Australian artist celebrated for his vibrant and psychedelic stoner art. Back in 1977 in Perth, Australia, TROG’s early life was deeply influenced by skateboarding and surfing, shaping his artistic vision. Since 1991, he has been creating daily, producing various underground comix and cannabis-inspired artwork.
Throughout his career, TROG has collaborated with numerous musicians and alternative lifestyle brands, crafting artwork for bands such as The Offspring, Kottonmouth Kings, Slightly Stoopid, and Hed PE. His distinctive style has garnered a cult following across 45 countries, with his art resonating deeply within the cannabis community.
In addition to his visual art, TROG has authored several books, including “The Cooked Book,” “The Killer Weed Coloring Book: For Marijuana Lovers,” and “The Deadlines..” His work has been showcased at various events worldwide, where he often sets up his easel and paints in real-time, captivating audiences with his wildly vivid creations.
TROG’s contributions to cannabis culture have been widely recognized, earning him nominations at events such as the Australian Cannabis Awards. His art continues to inspire and influence, offering a visual journey into a world of stoner toons and psychedelic experiences.
