New research aims to enable cost-aware deployment of #digitaltwins across #federatedcloud providers by modeling DTs as multi-layered architectures and optimizing service selection per layer to minimize operational expenses. The paper introduces #Twin2Clouds, a cost-driven #DTengineering framework. In three real-world scenarios (smart building, industrial facility, smart home), Twin2Clouds reduced monthly cloud costs by up to 78%, demonstrating the potential of federated deployments for scalable and #sustainableDTs. 🤝 Authored by Philipp Gritsch, Deniz Pierer, Luca Berardinelli, Michael Felderer, and Sashko Ristov. Supported by the #MATISSEproject. Find out more at: https://lnkd.in/dPpPB5yZ

Vantage has expanded GPU support in the Vantage Kubernetes Agent to include neocloud providers like DigitalOcean, CoreWeave, Nebius, and other emerging GPU-focused cloud platforms Customers can now track, allocate, and optimize GPU-backed workloads running on neocloud Kubernetes clusters with the same visibility they have for traditional cloud providers like AWS. This way, you can get a complete view of your k8s costs across both traditional cloud and next-gen GPU platforms. More details in the comments.

Here's a great writeup from Taryn Plumb for Network World, taking a deeper look at how Google has started to migrate many of its internal workloads to its Arm-based servers. A few details worth noting: 🔸 These servers, built on the (Google) designed Axion CPU are now supporting about 30K of Google's 100K internal workloads 🔸 The goal is to have these workloads on both Arm & x86 simultaneously 🔸 Workloads inlcude YouTube, gmail, BiqQuery 🔸 Goal is to move everything to this shared model 🔸 Multiarch a guiding and design principle for Google developers Really interesting article that goes deeper into the port process - well worth the read. Getting reliable answers out of open data portals using #LLMs is harder than it sounds. Hallucinations. Poor grounding. Retrieval that works in demos but breaks on real data. The Open Knowledge Foundation (OKFN) Tech Team is running a semi-closed technical session next week around #CKAN Answers — a project tackling exactly this. They'll walk through their architecture decisions and trade-offs, demo the current state, and open it up for discussion. If you're working on similar problems — RAG on open data, natural language querying, LLM-powered portals — this is a good room to be in. 📅 Wednesday 25 March · 12:00 UTC Express your interest below. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeVgwsmv

One thing that we love about #P99CONF is it brings engineers from around the world together to discuss the latest in low latency applications. Tanat Lokejaroenlarb spoke and attended this year's conference from Bangkok, and after sharing a journey on migrating Kubernetes policy management from Gatekeeper to Kyverno, Tanat was kind enough to share takeaways on Rust, LLMs, and the Art of shaving down latency. https://lnkd.in/eHPRiJg8 #ScyllaDB

AI won't fix a broken portfolio. It will speed up the problem. That's exactly what the SPM Virtual Summit 2026 was built to solve. Presented by Clarity® by Broadcom and Google Cloud, the sessions bring together enterprise practitioners from Google Cloud, UCSF, Cox Automotive, GigaOm, and Broadcom on one question: how do you govern, align, and actually deliver on AI in a complex organization? This is not theory. These are the conversations happening inside organizations doing this work right now. Watch the sessions on demand: https://dy.si/7xgiP
