UGA started a mentorship program in 2019 to connect current students with alumni in their fields. I've worked with a handful of Georgia Computer Science students since then, giving back to my alma mater. A hour every few weeks talking about how the software industry really works, reviewing resumes, or suggesting further reading opens eyes on both sides of the call.

We needed a JavaScript testing framework that was decoupled from the DOM, web requests, and any external dependencies. We wanted a Behavior-Driven-Development syntax and a style that would run anywhere JavaScript would run. This framework didn't exist in 2008, so we wrote Jasmine.
