Understands your codebase

WebStorm analyzes your entire project when you first open it. This enables fast navigation, advanced coding assistance, and safe refactoring – even in large projects.

Makes complex tasks easy

Leave your most challenging and tedious tasks to WebStorm. From resolving Git merge conflicts to running and debugging tests or writing repetitive code – you can get it all done in just a few clicks.

What developers say about WebStorm

I love Neovim for its speed and extensibility, but man, the confidence I have when I invoke "Refactor this..." or "Rename ..." in @WebStormIDE just hits differently. 🙏

I love @jetbrains because WebStorm provides all the functionality for complex git workflow out of the box!! I can commit files, review changes, and resolve conflicts with a merge tool in the IDE. Wow!

Switching to an IDE like JetBrains WebStorm or PyCharm Community Edition (Python) will make your life easier in the long run. Using an IDE enables you to work on a large codebase with millions of lines of code with the help of tons of features. Make your life easier!

Unpopular opinion but since I switched to WebStorm from VSCode, my coding speed and searching prowess has more than doubled. €70 well spent. JetBrains know this IDE game. The git resolution feature is unmatched. The code search feature is unparalleled. I use the vscode key bindings so I didn’t go through the steep learning curve.

I’ve used both VS Code & WebStorm. I gladly pay for WebStorm because it works better in a number of ways. Everyone on my team has their choice. Everyone except one uses WebStorm, as well. We can’t all be taking crazy pills.

Once you start using @WebStormIDE there's no going back. It's a 10 for me, very comfortable environment for development.

JetBrains AI

Work smarter with AI tools built right into WebStorm – free tier included. Get instant help from the AI Assistant’s context-aware chat, or team up with Junie, the coding agent, to tackle big challenges like restructuring code or prototyping new ideas.

Smart code editor

WebStorm understands your project structure deeply and can assist you with every aspect of coding. It will autocomplete your code, detect and suggest fixes for errors and redundancies, and help you refactor code safely.

Fast navigation and search

Move through your code faster, regardless of how large your projects are. Jump to the definition of any function, method, variable, component, or class, and find its usages with no effort at all. Look for files, classes, or symbols, and review all the matches in one place.

Integrated developer tools

Access all of your essential tools in one place. Debug and test your client-side and Node.js apps, and work with Git and GitHub. Additionally, package managers, build tools, linters, Prettier, and, of course, a terminal are all available within the IDE.

Collaborative and remote development

Code together in real time and talk to others right in your IDE. Work on a project located in a remote development environment, which can be hosted on your own machine or in cloud solutions, such as Google Cloud Workstations or GitHub Codespaces.

Customization

Make WebStorm your own with different themes, fonts, and keymaps. You can also add extra functionality with hundreds of plugins from our marketplace.

What’s new in WebStorm 2026.2

TypeScript 7 support for faster workflows with large codebases

Large TypeScript codebases don't have to feel slow. TypeScript 7 rewrites the compiler and language server in Go, and the difference is noticeable immediately.

Agent skills manager

Agents are only as useful as the context they have. Install them once in WebStorm, and your agents carry that domain knowledge across every project and session.

Native GitHub Copilot integration

If your team already uses GitHub Copilot, you no longer need a separate plugin or registry setup to bring it into WebStorm. Copilot is now a natively integrated agent.
