Short term gains… At the expense of attention, addiction and emotional issues that only feel more apparent later if you continue down the path of high stimulation content according to the W.H.O guidelines. It says a lot when the biggest children’s content creator niche is speech therapy. She uses the same tactics as them, tactics that affect things beyond speech. Just because she’s remedied one, doesn’t make it alright.
i never really felt like my son is really experiencing terrible two. very little breakdowns, ever wondered whether this was because ee did no screens and no sugar

Thank you for speaking out about this! 🙌 screen time has become so normalized that so many parents (including myself at one point) do not know this valuable information!!

We don’t have a regular tv, just a small one that only plays dvds. I sometimes put on half an hour for my 2 and 3 year olds but unsure if it’s still harmful. Usually things like Disney films, peppa pig, Thomas, postman pat. I try to stay away from any of the high stimulation content. Usually no more than half an hour and about 3 or 4 times a week. I have tried to cut it out but my son nags me every day can I please watch something and sometimes it’s the only thing that stops them from fighting or getting up to mischief whilst I’m trying to make dinner in the evenings and can’t engage with them. Any thoughts?
