Very sad and broken to write
My beloved friend Zaki Ali Qawwal has passed away yesterday.
While we were rehearsing, after a meal and a cigarette he departed on to another journey.
We shared some of the most precious and elevated moments in life . We traveled the world together, we prayed and cried together, we experienced music together. His unshakable faith his love and presence made the stage into a sacred abode. He touched the core of my heart. He sung the voice of my soul.

I saw Junun and Rajasthan express live in Berlin in 2016. It was an marvelous musical experience, I cried and I laughed. My condolences Shye. Zaki Ali Qawwal departed for the stars
