The Geo Practitioners User Panel (Geo-PUP) is a user community for geospatial professionals and Google Maps Platform developers that helps us improve our platforms for you.
This user community serves as our research participant panel to provide perspectives to shape Google’s geospatial and Google Maps Platform products. If you are someone who uses mapping tools or data in a professional or volunteer capacity, we want to talk to you about what you need, what you use, and how we can continue to improve things.
When is research happening?
Research happens continuously! Many members have the option to participate about once a month and you choose when you participate.
How long is an average research activity?
Activities range from online discussion boards, quick 5-minute surveys, to 60-minute interviews or focus groups (scheduled at your convenience). You get to choose your activities, and how much time you want to spend.
Why should I participate?
You’ll help influence the development of the products you need, get sneak peeks at things that are coming up, and spend one-on-one time with Google product decision makers. You’ll also be able to connect with other colleagues who are working in the Geospatial and developer fields, talk, share and ask questions. Most research activities offer compensation for your time.
