I cannot speak more highly of this facility and the entire staff of doctors, nurses, and assistants here. The facility is unique in that the pets can be with their owners at all times. There is no “let’s take them to the back and take a look”. The owner can be with their pet through testing (except x-ray room for obvious reasons) and examinations. I think this makes both the pet and the owner comfortable - the pet feels much less anxious with its owner by its side ; the owner feels more at ease because they see what is being done and are part of the process. This speaks to the palpable feeling that VEG prioritizes absolute transparency with pet owners. Despite the mainly open concept design of this facility, there are also several private rooms as should a pet/owner prefer or require privacy. Owners are able to stay overnight in these rooms with their pets should the owners elect to be present for the entire recovery process. As for the team that works at this location, I cannot speak more highly of them. Everyone is kind, caring, patient, and thorough. The doctors are easily accessible and always happy to answer any questions. Doctors Crossfield (Lead ER doctor) and Chennault saved my dog’s life. My dog needed emergency surgery due to bloat and they both operated on him during the middle of the night. Both doctors had experience in the particular surgery that my dog needed and felt comfortable performing it. This is exactly the kind of transparency and honesty that made me feel safe to trust them with my dog. I chose to stay a few nights after surgery as I believe that the first few days after major surgery are the most critical and precarious. The quality of aftercare that the doctors and staff provided could not be better. The communication amongst team members allowed for seamless transitions during shift changes. Everyone here is kind and competent at the very least. One final thing to note regarding location: I was hesitant at first because of the location (due to this area being a place that transients frequent), but felt like coming here was my only option due to my perceived sense of urgency of my pet’s condition. However, my concerns were alleviated when I saw that appropriate measures were taken to ensure that the facility was safe and secure. While the exterior door is unlocked, there is an interior door people must enter through to get inside the facility. This interior door is locked until a staff member unlocks it. Additionally, they have overnight security that patrols the exterior of the facility.

Every staff member and doctor who worked with us went above and beyond. Even as the number of patients coming in continued to increase quickly, they never allowed the stress or pressure to affect the level of care and compassion they showed. They remained calm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward every pet and family they were helping. That says so much about the kind of team they are, and it definitely did not go unnoticed.

Dr. Megan Farris (passionate, patient, honest, healer), Malinda (extremely nice, pleasant, and funny) and her counter part who handled our intake (first person in 13 years to spell Nikki Bay correctly!), And the human with the rad, green-retro glasses (kind, gentle and careful with NB, informative checkout). Overall a wonderful team! With much gratitude, love, and sincerity, THANK YOU!! Bonus: pillow + couch = comfortable

Going to the emergency vet can be difficult, but if I ever have to go I will choose VEG Edgewater every time. Being able to stay with your pet is such great opportunity so they feel more comfortable. I also appreciate that I could come and visit anytime. The staff is amazing and you can tell they truly care about their patients and families.

I just visited Veg ER for Pets, and I had a great experience. The facility was very clean, and everyone there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can really tell the staff genuinely care about the pets they treat. They made us feel comfortable and showed compassion throughout our visit. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality veterinary care.

Fantastic care and great service. My dog had a foreign object in her and was transferred to VEG at the recommendation of my urgent care vet. After a consult with VEG, they provided different treatment paths and were considerate of my budget. The entire team was fantastic, intelligent, and caring. During my dog's recovery, we had to return once more, and again the whole crew was fantastic, providing tiered/escalating treatment plans based on her response(s) during recovery.

We found ourselves at VEG ER on a Saturday morning with our kitty, Dewey (not what we had planned, but alas). We were greeted by Aaron, who went above and beyond in terms of kindness, customer service, and making sure we were all comfortable. Dr. Landry was the veterinarian on duty, and I really appreciated her bedside manner, the time she took to talk with us and explain what she thought was going on with Dewey, and just her general personality and warmth. The wait was long as there were quite a few others there, but I wouldn’t have traded it for a shorter wait given how great the team was. I also want to give Vincent and Katelyn a shoutout. They were our vet assistants for the day, and they were both wonderful and kind even though Dewey wasn’t 😭

We drove from Toledo and I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment Chapo and I walked in, everyone treated us like family. They were incredibly attentive to both Chapo and myself, made sure I was always in the loop, and even connected promptly with Chapos neurologist. What really stood out was how comforting they were and how much they genuinely cared. It’s handled so differently than anywhere else I’ve been. A truly safe and caring space when we needed it most. I 100% believe Chapo wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for this place and the people that cared for him. Just wow.

Our experience with VEG ER for Pets was exceptional from start and sadly to finish. The entire team demonstrated outstanding professionalism, compassion, and expertise during a very emotionally stressful situation. Every member of the staff treated both us and our sick fur child with genuine kindness, taking the time to explain every step of the evaluation and treatment process thoroughly. The veterinarians and technicians were knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly dedicated to providing the highest level of emergency care. Their communication was excellent, ensuring we understood our pet's condition and treatment options while making us feel supported throughout the entire visit. The facility was clean, well-organized, and welcoming, and it was evident that patient care is their top priority. Knowing our pet was in such capable hands gave us tremendous peace of mind during a difficult time. We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by the entire team at VEG ER for Pets. Their commitment to excellence, compassion, and professionalism truly sets them apart. I highly recommend VEG ER for Pets to anyone in need of 24/7 emergency veterinary care. Thank you for everything you do for our beloved pets and their families.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the extraordinary care Stanley and I received at VEG on Route 59. Dr. Kayla Casavant (K) and technician Crystal were absolute angels during a high-anxiety night. Dr. Kayla took so much time with me—both on my initial phone call and in the room—listening with true empathy, sharing stories about her own cat, and completely calming my fears while treating Stanley. The entire overnight team was amazingly warm, kind, and professional. If you want compassionate, top-tier care where you never feel rushed, this is the place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about VEG ER for Pets. From the moment we rushed our cat, Ruckus, through their doors, every single person treated her—and us—with compassion, kindness, and genuine care. Their open-concept hospital meant we never had to leave her side, which brought us so much comfort during one of the scariest moments of our lives. The doctors and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. They stabilized Ruckus and gave us hope when we needed it most. But what truly sets VEG apart is what happened after we left. They continued checking on Ruckus days and even weeks later, simply because they cared. They didn't have to, but they did—and that speaks volumes about the hearts of the people who work there. Knowing they're open 24/7 gives us peace of mind that if another emergency ever happens, we'll never hesitate to bring our pets to VEG. They are more than an emergency hospital—they're a team of compassionate people who truly love animals and the families who love them. Thank you for everything you did for Ruckus. We'll never forget your kindness. ❤️🐾

Lots of emotions this weekend, we basically spent Friday to Sunday onsite. Having said that, our experience was once again phenomenal. We just can’t say enough nice things about the staff and the quality of care at VEG. It’s not our first rodeo there. They saved our Iggy for now. She means the world to us, and it seems she grew on a few on the team there.

I cannot say enough good things about VEG ER for Pets. I brought my dog here after a rough 36 hours of severe vomiting and diarrhea, and we were seen within an hour. The entire staff was incredibly kind and empathetic. What stood out the most was how accommodating they were—they actually encouraged me to stay right with her and treated her right in the waiting area because that’s where she felt the most comfortable, even though they had treatment rooms available. As someone who works in marketing, the only tiny critique I could give is that a follow-up call the next day would have been a great touch since it’s so standard now—but honestly, that doesn't change the 5-star experience. The only thing that truly matters is that they took amazing care of my girl and fixed her up. Thank you, VEG team!

I cannot express my gratitude for the staff here. My Betty got into a bag of tums and Advil and was admitted for an overnight stay. They kept calm the entire time and were so friendly is made me feel so much more secure. Betty has now been home for almost a week and is back to herself. Everyone from the doctors to the front desk staff were amazing. And the warm cookies?! Are you kidding?! I wish the human ER was like this.

VEG ER provided incredible care during one of the hardest moments with our dog Milli. From the start, she was treated with urgency, compassion, and expertise. Dr. Hoffman did an amazing job stabilizing her on arrival. Dr. Charity showed true dedication in helping get her strong enough to come home, and Dr. Miller was consistently kind and caring throughout her stay. A special thank you to Brenden, her nurse, who went above and beyond and treated Milli like his own. We’re also deeply grateful to Morgan, who was always attentive and caring despite being pregnant. Thank you as well to the rest of the nursing staff, including Christina, Cassidy, and Dom, along with management and the director for their support. Even during a scheduled power outage, they brought in a generator to ensure her care never stopped. We will forever be grateful—thanks to this team, Milli is home with us. ❤️

I cannot thank everyone at VEG enough over the past 2 days. On Sunday morning, I had to take my dog there that ended up having a blockage in his intestines after getting into one of our cabinets while I was away. Although the wait was a bit longer than usual with it being Memorial Day weekend, they made sure both my dog Jordan and I were comfortable while we waited. Once we met with a doctor, they made sure to do an in depth examination while keeping him calm and near me which helped. They went over the treatment plan and payment plan options with me and made sure to answer the multitude of questions I had for them without making me feel like I was being annoying or wasting their time as they were extremely busy. I ended up having to keep my dog there, but they allowed me to come get him at 1:00am as I had wished once his treatments were done instead of making me keep him there overnight. Since unfortunately we could not get his obstruction to move, I did end up taking him back the next day. As soon as we arrived, multiple staff members greeted my dog Jordan by name and were very attentive right away when they saw us again which I greatly appreciated and was impressed with. They brought him a giant soft bed for him to rest on during the check in process. We were about to move forward with surgery, but the new doctor on shift wanted to double check imaging again to make sure it was necessary even when I told them to go ahead and do whatever they needed to just to get this out of my dogs system. I agreed to the plan or reimaging and am glad I did! We ended up getting the blockage to move, and with the medication provided we ultimately got it out of his system without surgical intervention (which we originally thought was necessary). I appreciate them saving me a ton of money instead of just moving forward with surgery right away! He is now resting at home. Shout out to Dr. Prada, Dr. Bugg, the very kind nurses/assistants (apologies that I cannot remember everyone’s name) and even the security guard for helping us! We LOVE you all!

I had a really good experience here with my cat, Beau. As a college student on a budget, I really appreciated how understanding they were and how they helped get him the treatment he needed at a price I could afford. They were kind, patient, and never made me feel judged, even when I was second-guessing myself and worried about Beau. They were very gentle with him, and multiple staff members came in throughout the visit just to check on him and love on him. You could tell he already felt better just from all the love and attention he was getting. I’m so thankful for the care they gave Beau and how supported they made me feel during a stressful time. A special thank you to the nurse with the blonde curly hair and the male doctor, they were both wonderful.

Thank you again! Sapphire and Jade also say thank you for making them Feel better!

My dog ingested something at home and became extremely ill. Our usual veterinarian was unable to see her promptly and advised us to seek emergency care. The staff at the facility were exceptionally kind, friendly, and supportive throughout the process. I was impressed with the quality of care provided, which I believe exceeded expectations often associated with human emergency rooms. They were transparent and upfront about the costs, which were surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of emergency veterinary services.

Both of my cats have been admitted overnight. The most recent one was the scariest. He was very close to death and they were very quick to take care of him. They monitored him so well and gave him all the things to make him better. We slept there with our cats both times and it has been amazing each time. They are not only attentive to your animals, but to you as well. They genuinely care about you and your animals wellbeing. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone

I am very pleased with the care I received at VEG Shrewsbury today. Nina, my cat, was showing some concerning acute systems late last night/early this morning. I called them this morning about it and she was in and out of the clinic within 2 hours. Her symptoms were treated and they gave me a discharge report with medication instructions and recommended next steps with her primary care vet. She is doing so much better already! The staff was very professional, kind and gentle, and helped to put my precious girl and I at ease— shout out to Dr. Groves, Nina and the other nurses and technicians that helped us today. They have snacks and coffee in the lobby and you can stay with your pet the whole time. Although I hope I don’t have to go back there anytime soon, I know that if an emergency arises, my cats are in wonderful hands.

We came to VEG pet hospital and it was amazing! Not only did we get seen right away but they were so fast, kind and unbelievably fantastic. This clinic took less than 2 hours to get the exam and X-rays. They made sure the dog was comfortable the whole time and communicated with us about everything. I was very pleased with this place after the nightmare I had to deal with. After 9+ hours and a long night at a terrible pet clinic, who ended up not helping us at all, VEG did everything and more! I would come here for any pet emergencies now. Totally worth the drive.

Had the best experience at VEG ER a few weeks ago! My bf and I were visiting Boston over Memorial Day weekend with our dog when we found a tick on her after a trip to the park that morning. We weren't totally sure if it was a tick or a skin tag and didn't want to risk hurting her by trying to remove it ourselves so we decided to get it checked out. We called and they told us to bring her right in. Everyone was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. They removed the tick, gave her a thorough checkup afterward and walked us through what to watch for over the next few days. Our dog is usually very anxious at the vet, but she was calm and comfortable the entire visit. Dr. Shelby and Nurse Rachel were wonderful and made us feel completely at ease! We're so grateful for their help especially while we were traveling and away from our regular vet. I would highly recommend VEG ER to anyone needing emergency or urgent care for their pet! You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they treat.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

I’d recommend this place to any of my animal loving friends & family for all of their pets emergencies. Brought in my dog, Bailey, last week for an allergic reaction & she was cared for immediately. Although my dog was scared (since she seen the vet twice in one day) they understood & was still able to work with her squirmy self. Bailey is doing so much better now & I have the vets at this establishment to thank!

I brought my French Mastiff Enzo in the other night. He had a seizure out of the blue in the middle of the night. They ran tests and sent us home with to monitor him and to come back if he gets worse while we wait for his bloodwork. Well later that afternoon he seized again and we watched him. Well went back later in the evening as he got really bad and Dr McGhee was there. Our mastiff was 10 1/2 and had lived past his life expectancy by a few years. The staff and Dr McGhee were amazing. Enzo was an amazing dog and they showed him dignity and kindness. Our whole family was there as we knew this was going to be the end. I believe Enzo held on for all of us to be there. I told Dr McGhee how I always pictured knowing it was going to be time to put him down and I had a whole day planned of Enzo getting all his fave treats and just being spoiled. The Dr and Techs went and made a plate from stuff in their lunches. That meant the world to me. Unfortunately Enzo had stopped eating and didn’t get to enjoy it, if he could though the plate would have been licked clean, but just the gesture of their kindness in a time that was so hard for all of us. I can’t put into words how amazing that moment felt to me. I can’t even put into words what Enzo meant to my family. His loss is felt to a degree that is unfathomable. He was literally not just a dog and he was never treated like a dog. He was family. The vet and techs treated him just like that, not like another sick animal but like a family member who just couldn’t fight anymore. Enzo made sure we were all there and just like he did for us everyday, we all made sure we were there for him. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness they showed to our old man who was the greatest gift we ever had. Thank you Dr McGhee and staff for supporting us and helping us with a process of life that is the worst part. The sacrifice of time and your lunches was a great tribute to a great dog! I included pictures of his smile and his fave past time of sleeping.

I just visited the new vet emergency clinic in Manhattan Beach. My 12 years old puppy had the most beautiful experience he ever had at a vet office. Doctor Townsley was awesome and his medical team ; Megumi and Jonathan were just as wonderful , including Emily who helped me and greeted me at the front desk! I felt so happy and relieved to have met such a competent and young team who were all able to make this visit a fun one! Also the environment is so spacious and pet friendly! I am including a picture of my Ruggles who looks obviously very happy to stop by here ! ;)) Thank you so much for all you do and thank you for rendering this experience a happy one Cristina V.

I’m a mom to four sons, two human and two canine. I love and care for all of them. My human sons might say their furry brothers get better care on all levels, and if I’m honest- I’d have to agree. My furry babies are more vulnerable, always happy to see me, never complain about what’s for dinner & rarely talk back. And that’s part of what makes them so vulnerable. If something is wrong they have a tough time communicating what’s going on. All I can say, Dr. Rothstein, Dr. McDonald and all of Tyson’s care team: Rob, Cristina, Hannah, Jodi, Ashley and Jackie made his inability to explain himself a nonentity. Their attention, patience and thorough examinations were enough. We walked into VEG with a scared golden retriever who was not feeling himself, couldn't explain himself and he was greeted with so much love and focus, it didn’t matter that he wasn’t able to describe his ailments. VEG is unlike any vet I’ve been too. It is truly a godsend, a port in the storm of confusion and stress that comes with being a parent. Many thanks for all that you do.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank the team at VEG ER for Pets enough for the incredible care they gave my dog during such a frightening time. From the moment we walked in, everyone treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Anghel was outstanding—thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Nurse Samantha was so caring and attentive, making both my dog and me feel comfortable. Cat, the assistant, was gentle and compassionate, and Brittany made the entire process smooth and welcoming. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure my dog received the best possible care. They truly treated her as if she were their own. During a stressful emergency, they gave us peace of mind, and I will always be grateful for their dedication and kindness. Thank you, Dr. Anghel, Samantha, Cat, and Brittany, for your exceptional care. I highly recommend VEG ER for Pets to anyone who wants a team that genuinely cares about both pets and their families. When one of my worst fears came true and my cat Penny experienced a life-threatening urinary obstruction at 3am, her VEG team not only saved her life but also showed a level of compassion and dedication that’s hard to find elsewhere. Thank you so much to her team — Dr. E, Dr. Neal, Dr. Caldwell, Megan, Hannah, Nola, and everyone else involved in her care — for taking such incredible care of Penny and turning one of the most terrifying experiences of my life into one where I left feeling relieved, with my best friend still by my side. Her doctors performed life-saving surgery before dawn and went above and beyond in every aspect of her care, including patiently answering my endless list of questions. Her technicians were incredibly kind, hardworking, knowledgeable, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible during our stay. As any emergency visit understandably is, our visit was expensive, but the team helped me save money in every way they could. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for VEG. I’ll never forget the compassion, skill, and reassurance they showed me during the scariest night of my life.

I want to thank the staff working overnight last night. We brought my Diesel baby in because he was really struggling. Even though it was 3 am the staff was quick and very compassionate for our situation, all hands were on deck. I’d like to thank Dr. Rocha for explaining things in a good manner and being very patient with my family during this time. Also of course for taking care of Diesel and not sugar coating anything no matter how hard it was to hear. She was very caring. It was a very hard time for us as we had to put my almost 13 year old baby down, but i’m glad it was in the hands of your animal hospital. Thank you for caring for my Diesel when he needed it most. May he rest in paradise🤍

After noticing our sweet boy was holding his neck down we took him to our local vet, we were given the run around on treatment options & were eventually told we needed a $5,000 MRI done at another clinic so that they can figure it out. We were keeping him medicated until we could get him into physical therapy because we were under the impression of a pinched nerve or disc issue & our local vet wouldn’t help us any longer. Fast forward two weeks later his health was declining. We made the decision to bring him into VEG, immediately we welcomed with the most compassionate and caring staff. Dr. Smith & Jacy came over to look at our boy & said she wanted to check for cancer. Many people brought their animals in the hours that we were there & the attention to Kane, my husband & I never slacked a bit. After some x-rays, it was confirmed that’s exactly what it was & unfortunately we had to make the decision to euthanize our boy. Jacy moved us into a private room to say our goodbyes, & share thoughtful words. Dr. Smith was extremely thorough and patient with us & our questions. I cannot thank them enough for the level of care ourselves & Kane received that night. Picture tax of our sweet boy. ❤️

I cannot recommend this emergency animal hospital enough. A few weeks ago, we had to bring our cat, Tony, in because he was coughing and wheezing. We didn't think it was a true emergency at first, but the staff immediately took him to the back and began running tests. While the outcome was heartbreaking and we ultimately had to say goodbye to him due to a likely cancerous mass in his throat, I cannot praise the staff enough for their extraordinary care. During the many hours my daughter and I were there, we watched the staff interact with numerous families coming in with sick or injured pets. The entire team was consistently attentive, compassionate, and deeply empathetic to everyone. When it came time to make the hardest decision for Tony, the staff was incredibly kind. They prioritized Tony's comfort, allowing me to go home and bring the rest of my family back to say goodbye. They never rushed us. They let us spend all the time we needed with Tony before and after the procedure, treating him with the utmost respect and dignity. I honestly do not know how this staff mentally and emotionally handles seeing pet owners on the worst days of their lives, day in and day out, but they haven't lost an ounce of their warmth. They treated Tony and our family like we were special. In the middle of a devastating situation, we were in the best possible hands. Thank you for your extraordinary kindness.

Cannot rate this place high enough. It is expensive but the compassion of all the nurses is truly incredible. I had to carry in my 100 pound plus dog Peter and they got to him right away. Immediately making him and us feel comfortable. We were able to stay with him the whole time even when they were doing testing. He was hospitalized overnight and we could sit with him in or next to the kennel as long as we wanted. They even baked cookies while we were there and handed them out to everyone. I’m glad to report that Peter feels much better and I wish I could make this place our main vet. They are wonderful

On June 9th, 2026, I brought my elderly dogs to VEG Woodbury. I was concerned about there breathing, especially with my Doberman Emma. This was the first time having to go to an emergency veterinary and at first I took a step back due to the openness of the room. The girls were triaged as soon as we walked in. We were assigned to Dr. Jared Mackey. He first listened to Emma’s heart and lungs then asked if I’d be ok with an ultrasound, of course I said yes. He did that in front of me and explained what he was seeing and then said they could do an X-Ray. After the X-Ray they informed me that Emma had cancer. They treated us with so much compassion and kindness. They could have done the procedure but I wanted to take her home for one more night and then went to our animal hospital, where she knew them. I then had them do an X-Ray of my 14 year young lab and she looked great for her age. They never talk me into anything I didn’t want and the prices were far better than I thought. If you love your 4-legged pets and they need help don’t hesitate about VEG, I do and will continue to talk about how wonderful everyone was to the girls and me Rate: 100% positive THANK YOU!!

I’m caring for my mom’s dog, Schuyler, for her while she is undergoing cancer treatments, so my family and I are already stressed but when Schuyler had some stomach issues at 1am I needed help and I’m glad I went to VEG ER Cary. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted immediately and Schuyler was triaged and in line to see the Dr. The whole staff, from front desk to vet tech to vet were always kind, had a sense of urgency, empathetic, helpful, listened fully and you could tell they understand how important our pets are to us. I felt like they treated us as if we were their own family. They offer snacks and drinks while you wait, and the wait can be a bit because they make sure critical patients are stable and it is an ER after all, but they constantly checked in on me and Schuyler while we did wait. I will say, and this has nothing to do with the staff or hospital itself, but they have an open concept sort of setup so you do see everyone that comes in and the initial triage steps. I had to witness a few very sad, hard moments as other very critical patients came in and were triaged and that was hard for me. I wasn’t aware of this, so I just wasn’t prepared and I have some trauma from my past that was triggered a bit, so I just want to warn people of this as just a heads up. Now that I know, I will still always chose to come here in the future if unfortunately a best friend of mine needs emergency care, because it is worth it for the care and kindness of the whole team as well as their invaluable knowledge and desire to help our babies. And just side note, they do have private rooms and they did always move those critical patients to have privacy with their families eventually, but the initial triage is done right in the huge room with everyone so they can all tend to the pet immediately and so your pet is never taken away from you and you are able to be with it while they treat it every step of the way which is incredible. If unfortunately at some point your best friend needs medical care, this is the place to go. I’m very grateful to them for all their help and empathy when me and my family were going thru a very stressful time. Each and every one of the staff members at VEG ER Cary are heroes in my book.

When our exotic bird needed emergency care, the entire team went above and beyond. From the moment we arrived, they treated both us and our bird with compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern. The veterinarian was incredibly knowledgeable about exotic birds, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made sure we understood all of our treatment options. It's obvious that everyone here truly cares about their patients, no matter how small or unique they are. They handled our bird gently and confidently, which gave us so much peace of mind during a very stressful situation. The staff was kind, attentive, and reassuring every step of the way. We're so grateful for the exceptional care our feathered family member received. If you ever need emergency care for an exotic pet, I highly recommend this clinic. Their expertise, kindness, and dedication made all the difference.

After two days of hospitalization at his primary vet, my dog was transferred to VEG for weekend/overnight hospitalization. Him and I spent 42 hours in "Hotel VEG". While this was truly a terrifying and emotional situation, VEG made our experience comfortable, peaceful and even pleasant (under the circumstances). He had four total doctors during his long stay and they were all great. However, he was under Dr. Benjamin Rogers' care the majority of the time and Dr. Rogers was truly wonderful! He handled all of my emotions/concerns/questions in such a gentle and caring way, while still being honest about the severity of the situation. Each of the nurses he had were also very caring and attentive to both him and myself. Sadly, I do not recall the name of one nurse in particular (hopefully VEG can look him up in the records to ensure he is aware of this review), but he was so caring and loving towards my dog. My dog was unable to stand/walk upon arrival at VEG, and this particular nurse and I were outside at 2 AM when he was finally able to walk and the nurse was literally cheering his milestones, encouraging him to walk every single step and just about as excited as I was to see his progress. I felt like my dog and I were both cared about during our entire stay. While I hope that I never need VEG’s services again, I would not hesitate to return, if necessary. I truly believe that set up that allows you to stay with your pet the entire time was very healing for my dog and allowed him to focus on getting better, without the stress of wondering why he was alone in cage during such a scary time for him. I called several hours before the transfer so that they knew he was coming and was provided an electronic intake form so that they had all of his information beforehand. I called again a few minutes before my arrival and was met in the parking lot with a gurney to get him inside. A doctor immediately began examining him and taking his extensive history from me. We were quickly set up in a private room with a bed for him and I to share. We were consistently checked on throughout his treatment and I was always told what they were doing and why they were doing every single thing they did for him.
