    I am playing the world's tiniest violin for the people at Apple who were told that they had to build the entire proposal before they could get it approved. The number of times we developers have heard this same thing from App Review is too high to count.

    This is true for 99.9% of the apps on the App Store, but is not true for the apps at the very top. Facebook and WeChat have been caught blatantly violating the guidelines without ever being removed. Two things matter: number of lawyers and user base.

    I know a developer whose app Apple features and writes editorial stories about in the App Store. Yet the App Review team is threatening to remove it. App Review is the most closed and most impartial division at Apple. They don’t care how big you are, your revenue,or your user
