Cleaning Up My Digital Life

Currently, I don’t blog that much. This site has a second priority due to summer and other things I do (which I may also be blogging about in the future).

One of these things is cleaning up my digital life.

So, first I have resolved some issues on my homelab, refactored the docker compose scripts and cleaned old data. It feels more organized and more stable now. Furthermore it reflects my current knowledge of docker compose, now. I decided to not rewrite everything, but refactor it. And I think it was a good idea as it didn’t take that long.

The second thing I did was finally to go through my open tabs on my mobile phone. Chrome was already laughing at me, because I had more than 100 tabs opened.

I have an instance of Espial on my homelab where I store my bookmarks. But I’d also like to share some of them. So I created a small bookmark tool/script where I can just put the links to it. The result is the bookmarks page where you can see my shared bookmarks.

With that I was able to close over 50 tabs and share my bookmarks with you!

What’s’ next? The biggest chunk is to store and replicate all my photos etc. I already have them at two places, but I’d like to have some automated replication. But this means I’ll need to spend some money, which in return means I need to find some time to inform myself about NAS storages, so that I can make a good decision.

Anyway, it’s a good feeling to create order.
