Yesterday @Laura and I cycled over to New Brighton for a guided cycling tour of the mural artwork that domiates the town (https://www.hellonewbrighton.com/hype-urban-bike). It was lovely to learn about the story about New Brighton's regeneration attempts after decline through art giving the town a sense of pride and identity.
As is often the case with sequels, my second shingles jab is not as enteraining as the first one.
Stopped for petrol yesterday in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Looking forward to the geoguessr game where that comes in handy.

Some more playing around with shapr3d, this time trying to experiment with lofts and other organic seeming forms. My sister's eldest is into ghost statues, so I made them custom ghost. For a simple repeating pattern along the loft it really does have a nice sense of motion. Not very original, but as ever taking apart someone else's design and working out how to reproduce it was quite instructive, and a good way to explore shapr3d.
Using some PTO experimenting with Shapr3D as a possible replacement to Fusion 360 for my guitar design work. Mostly positive, and if nothign else it's been a useful process to go through to work out how to move over my designs from Fusion to whatever else I'll end up with.
Not a fan that it's yet another subscription model, but unfortunately that's par for the course in the industry. but again, doing this has taught me what I need in terms of keeping my designs portable and how readily I can get back up and running from scratch. I think that's beent he main useful lesson from this process.
After a wait as I missed the previous one by seconds, took the ferry over the Mersey on my way home. There’s something about commuter ferries I very much enjoy, at least on days like today (partly why I liked Gothenburg and Stockholm so much).

Tromsø är en vacker stad
We had a good time at the Liverpool Coffee Festival this morning. A lot of local roasters were there, and all had something interesting and/or unusual they were brewing for the masses that had come to sample their wares.
Also, Comandante were there, and doing a free service on their hand grinders: we've had ours for 6 years, is used twice a day, and it got a few bearing, they replaced the inner rod with the newer version that has a slight mechanical tweak to prevent a clip possibly coming loose (not that ours ever had), and the wood was waxed. A great bit of customer love - thanks Lukas!
Unlike the London Coffee Festival this was less focussed at people in the coffee industry and more at consumers, and so is definitely something we'd go back to next year.
