đȘ§ Colophon
A colophon is a statement at the end of a book, typically with a printerâs emblem, giving information about its authorship and printing. Hence the name of this page that explains how this blog is built.
This website was built with Hugo static site generator, using an internal theme called mlops that I
created for this site. The site and the respective code for the build files are hosted on github.
This is my personal website, please do note that these articles do not reflect or are based on work, opinions or policies of any of my (previous) employers. Any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence.
đ Privacy Policy
I designed this website with the privacy of readers in mind. I donât want to collect any information that I do not need to serve pages on this website. It uses no cookies and has no analytics. The fonts are hosted along with the rest of the content on the site, not loaded from a third party.
Here is the thing: there are quite a few companies out there that live off acquiring and selling your data. That would be kind of ok if it was more transparent how this is done. But of course, only those who are not interested in your data are the ones who properly communicate what they do. This is the case here.
This website uses GitHub Pages, a web hosting service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (âGitHubâ). GitHub is certified under the EU/US privacy agreement âPrivacy Shieldâ and hence obliged to observe EU privacy regulation. GitHub collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in âserver log filesâ. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
GitHub uses these data to analyze website usage by the visitor, to compile reports on the activities of website visitors, and to provide further services in connection with the use of the website. Insofar as GitHub is bound by law to do so, or if third parties process data on behalf on GitHub, data will be transferred to third parties. GitHub will not combine visitor data transmitted by the browser with data from other sources.
For more information on GitHubâs privacy policy, please visit https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement.
đź Comments
I donât like comments section on personal webpages or blogs and even if they works as expected, creates another maintenance burden for the owner. So, no comments section but you can always contact me to share your thoughts.
