When I read fiction, I read science fiction. I read three chapters of Righteous Fury and there were no aliens, no robots, and no spaceships.

I jest somewhat, but this book is far enough outside my usual reading that I'm unable to make any meaningful comment on it. I have no frame of reference. The last time I recall reading a book about sports was seven years ago when I read Tine Hardeman's autobiography. Before that it was when I was about nine years old and I read a biography of Bruce Jenner. I have never read a Christian fiction sports novel prior to Righteous Fury. I'm afraid that, as a guy whose fiction tastes run almost exclusively to science fiction, this one didn't do it for me.
