fixed photos in cohost shrine not being sized correctly when on mobile(thanks lapisnev for pointing out how to fix that)
removed commentbox from cohost shrine, i'm gonna look at an alternative way of having comments

i wanna take a moment to talk a bit about what i'm planning on doing next since the cohost shrine is finished for now.

while i am planning on adding on to it as i said, it's going to take a backseat whilst i work on some other stuff related to this site.

first, i'm gonna work on moving the devlog to it's own seperate page and have better pairity with the rss feed since i tend to ramble a bit in that. speaking of which i plan to make changes to how it's set up going forward, namely i'm probably gonna change the underlying code for it, nothing wrong with RuSShdown it's perfectly servicable i just kinda wanna do edits locally instead of using firefox to add a new post, plus the author section displays a little weirdly in my rss reader of choice(newsboat).

thirdly, i should clean up my code and look into an automatic formatter for neovim, this won't make any drastic changes to how the site looks but it'll be easier for me to work with.

and lastly, i'm gonna look at static site generators, as much as i like writing html i just know once i set up a blog with a seperate rss feed that it's gonna get tedious and being able to just write what i want in markdown and then have the needed stuff generated for me, it'll save me some time.

an RSS feed has been added for the devlog

-Major Site Update: Plural System page, clean up in code, buttons, and also rip cohost

after a lack of energy and slow development i've finally gotten around to finishing this update to my site, and at about 4 days until cohost goes into read only mode, i've got a memorial page planned but something tells me i won't get it finished by the time cohost goes read only

so to give my thoughts on it here: i'm deeply sad to see cohost go, i enjoyed to 2 years of my life i spent on it and hope to carry the energy it held in what i do, and i'm glad i was here to see end more or less peacefully

P.S. I think it might be a good idea for myself to start looking at intergrating a static site generator into my site for repetitive things like this

anyway, here's the cliffnotes of this update:

added a page about my plural system
updated some information on my about me page
visual tweaks have been made to the site to hopefully make this site a little nicer imo
the font that the website uses is now Inter instead of the default Verdana, nothing wrong Verdana i just see it on linux lol
more buttons for the button collection
added mastodon to where you can find else on the internet
i've also made my own button, it's quickly put together and i'll make a better one when cohost shutting down isn't looming over the horizon

got back in to working on this site after a while of not touching it

minor under the hood changes that aren't of much note

-21st Feburary 2024:

fixed up devlog and about page not resizing according to screen size, this fix is bit of a bandaid solution but should work well enough for most screens

-22nd/23rd Janurary 2024:

tweaked link colours to have better contrast
other minor changes under the hood to hopefully make the site a little more accesible to screen reader
