Creative Pursuit
I barely remember when my last post was. Was it March, or was it April? Either way, it's been almost half a year. Life has taken a bit of a wild ride. August was, perhaps, the wildest month of my life. I joined college, made a whole new bunch of friends, and enjoyed a lot. I am, as they say, touching grass.
But, amid all of this, the blog has taken a back seat. I have written barely anything. Even though I feel a need to create, my creative output is at an all time low. So I figured I'd take the time to write this post and pen down some small thoughts that occured to me recently.
Going to college feels kind of eye-opening. It's a medium for exploration; a place where you can get out of your comfort zone and do new things. This is a huge shift when compared to high school, where everything was much more rigid. Innovation and creativity are given priority here, not just discipline and academic performance.
Having the time and resources to explore, and begin exposed to totally new things, is kind of overwhelming, but deep down I really love it. It's giving me an urge to do new things. I hope I'll be writing, drawing, etc, a lot more from now on.
I've always thought computers were cool, but never had a solid reason why. Now I feel it's because computers provide a similar exploratory medium, which lets you create without boundaries. A medium not limited by the lack of resources in the real world.
I want to try my hand at a lot of things - writing, painting, making music, speaking, and more! I'm really excited!

I'm trying to relapse to my active-blogger state (as if that ever existed, haha), and I want to write a lot more.It would also be nice if I posted thoughtful posts rather than brain dumps or rants. I'll also try to steer my writing in that direction.
It's easy to set goals, but considerably harder to follow them. Words don't just come out when I sit in front of the blank canvas. It's always going to be a struggle, but it's a struggle worth fighting, for the fruits are delicious.
See you soon!
