After all this time I finally got Covid. Right before Christmas so perfect timing and definitely messed up a bunch of plans. Had about 28 hours of awful symptoms but since then have felt fine. 0/10 don’t recommend.

- After playing Super Mario Wonder, I’ve been playing through a bunch of older Mario games I missed over the years. Right now I’m working through Super Mario Odyssey (which I am loving) and next will try out Super Mario Galaxy.

Shellsharks Resolutions
Every year I come up with (mostly personal) resolutions that have traditionally been quite… lofty. I think it’s pretty funny to go back and look at these at the end of each year. This year I’ve taken a more serious approach to these resolutions and a bit more specific/granular. I’ve also made some shellsharks-related resolutions I’d like to share below.
- I’m starting a new role at work and want to use this to springboard into more technical writing on the blog about what I am working on.
- Migrate from Pocket as my read-later service to something self-hosted (e.g. Postmarks, Omnivore)
- Dust off my Vulnscape project and see if I can turn it into anything.
- Turn my designer vulnerabilities list into a more dedicated, full-featured resource.
- Add searching/filtering to my notebook.
- Stand up Mastodon instance for shellsharks.com (or similar domain) and either use this as my main Mastodon account or use it for stuff related to the site (e.g. updates, posts, etc…)
- Keep up the tradition for >SharkWeek ‘24 + NaBloPoMo ‘24.
- Reboot The Shellsharks Podcast and record a show monthly.
- Transition off FontAwesome.
- ‘24 will mark the Shellsharks 5-year anniversary. I’d like to commemorate / celebrate somehow.
- I’ve been noodling on how to rearchitect the site. Perhaps I make some technological changes or additions.
