Technically, it would be November 2025 to January 2026, but it sounded weird so the title is just January 2026.

Introduction

You could say I went 360, since I also did nothing for a year plus between my fanfics, Ice Cream Clicker, and then Pancake Maker.

OCYCS Projects

I literally just discovered this an hour ago as of writing, but the site that these projects are based on will no longer receive submissions for the time being. I haven't dicussed this on this website yet, but I was planning on making this a larger universe of games, which needed to rely on new submissions. Since no new submissions are coming, after the intial set of games I've planned either release or get canned, I have to decide a new path. This means I have to ditch the universe idea I originally wanted to do.

Currently, the twine project went on hold while I focused on other projects and the vn hasn't entered development, but will next month. Beyond that, I would have naturally gotten ideas for new oc submissions and wherever I usually get my ideas (my head). Since there's no new oc submissions, I'll only have the latter for new ideas, which would likely just be a standard rylie eric idea and not one stemming from the site.

My plans going forward are to just incorporate these two projects into the standard rylie eric universe instead of their own universe, which would let me use the characters like my own characters (except they weren't made by me) and just put them in anything with no lore conflicts to deal with. That way I can still release two of those projects and actually let the characters naturally appear like everyone else and not rot away in a could-have-been series (at least in the way I use them, they are public domain characters).

Funnily enough, I was already planning the use of two of those characters in the main universe, one of them for Milk Game and another for the next thing I'm talking about.

(oh, and the third project won't be related anymore. it'll be a rylie eric stand-alone release since just making new characters were a better fit in my opinion)

Project Versus

This is still a long time away, but it's relevant now so here it is.

This is essentially my magnum opus of games I want to get done (debatable). It originated during my middle school days as a potential Roblox game I could make before expanding beyond that simple idea. Project Versus is basically been my dream idea for years now, before I even started this site. There's been 2 or 3 attempts at me trying to kickstart this while I was still in school, but they all so far were for naught. As of right now, I am building up my stories to lead to this point so that I have a base to work off of when I do start its production.

One of ocs you can steal ocs were set to show up alongside a bunch of my own ocs, new and old, in this project. It was starting to get a bit complex in terms of characters so I need to get some stuff into something solid instead of just my head. As of right now, I am putting some of the song inspirations into a playlist I can listen to, but later I will make a full lore document containing everything I have thought of in terms of lore.

Two of the characters I want to include in Project Versus also have art, albeit not public. I will put these pieces in the art gallery sometime this month.

That's all for Project Versus for now. It'll come up again when needed, but don't expect it to come back in a while.

Game Jams

I started working on a game for the IGM Game Jam that ran in December and since the theme was Christmas, my game was gonna be about Christmas. It was going to be about a depressed guy spreading Christmas spirit to relieve himself of his troubles. I really wanted to make this, but my drive wasn't... there. It wasn't meant to be long or the best in the jam, but something was missing from me that allowed me to finish it. Quite a shame, because this would of been cool to have released.

I also worked on something meant for Shufflecomp. Similarly, I ended up procrastinating too much and ended up not having time to fully realize it. It's still gonna be made in some form since I got a new idea based on it (also based on a song).

Other Stuff

I started Twelve Days of Postmas which is still not finished somehow. Agent R got some work done since I lost my Twine data in 2024. I didn't work on the Unannounced novels proejects, but I decided on the software I will be using (perviously I used ywriter 7, but I feel that might be too complex for these stories).

I was planning on doing an lore page instead of it being attached to Projects, but I have no put any work into this so far.

Conclusion

February will be for that OC vn, Milk Game, Project Versus, and one of the novels (idr if it was Unannounced 1 or 2 tbh). I'll also try to finish Postmas but no promises.
