My college is back... the last semester, time to focus in. I went to Brasil FurFest 2026 weeks ago, so expect a new post in my Life Blog soon, together with its new design to match my blog remakes.
Recently I updated my local music collection and started playing some games I didn't play for a while, like Minecraft and Stardew Valley. I also started reading more books, I expect to create a Book Blog for writing small reviews of what I read recently.
Finally, college break! Just one semester left to finish. I'm using this free time to finish pending projects on my website, and some drawings I stil didn't finish.
I recently discovered that Waze has an official promotion with Mr. Wolf voice, from "The Bad Guys" movie franchise, as a GPS voice assistant. I was able to rip the Brazilian Portuguese audios with help from videah (which had already ripped English audio tracks). With that, I made a mod for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 — if you're interested, check here.
And finally, Brasil FurFest 2026 is in a few weeks! My second furcon, I'm very anxious for that... it's gonna be fun!
Finally, after almost 3 months, I finished the new iteration of my Tech Blog. It didn't took so long due the style itself, but porting all the posts - because I updated all of them. I hope'll never do that anymore... well, at least I'm proud of the result.
A few days ago I woke up, turned on my computer and... my computer didn't turn on. I didn't had time to look up, since I needed to go to my job.
Hours later, time to see what happened. The CPU's air cooler spin for a few seconds and stop. Resetting the BIOS with the jumpers and removing the CR2032 battery didn't help. In the end, the culprit was the power supply.
A friend of mine had the same problem years ago, his setup is almost identical to mine, with a difference: his power supply was made by EVGA (which had a bad reputation in its last years). It died, and it was noticeable: the power cord melted.
Initially, my computer came with a nuke power supply from a brand called "Bluecase" (that I believe only sells products in Brazil). A cute nuke. Three years later, when I started to understand better this topic, I ran to swap it. I got a Redragon RGPS 500W, which was recently tested by TecLab (expert Brazilian overclocking group) at the time.
Six years later, it died. Silently. Without melting any cables, without exploding, without anything. That's the importance of having a good power supply. Even known brands do bad PSUs sometimes. Check this sheet to find good models.
