RevenueCat Ship-a-ton

This is the RevenueCat Ship-a-ton, the hackathon that puts the focus on shipping... a ton.

The challenge is to release an app to the App Store or Google Play Store using the RevenueCat SDK to monetize your app with in-app purchases. That's it! The rest is up to entirely up to you.

Our goal is to give you that final push to finally ship that project you've had in the back of your mind but never took the time to get started. So, let's get shipping!

What to Build

Release an iOS (iPhone) or Android app to the App Store or Google Play Store that uses the RevenueCat SDK to power at least one in-app purchase. The 1st version of your app must be released in the store during between August 5th and September 19.

What to Submit

Each submission must contain the following:

  • Short description of the app (may be the same as the App Store/Play Store description)
  • URL to your app's page on the App Store and/or Google Play Store
  • 1024 x 1024 uncropped image of your App Icon
  • At least one screenshot of the app without device frames.
    • Preferred resolution of 1179px width by 2556px height
  • OPTIONAL: We recommend including a video demonstration of your app, but this is not required.
  • App must either offer a free trial or the submission must include a promo code for judges to unlock the in-app purchases for testing all premium features.
  • For apps that want to be eligible for the #BuildInPublic Award:
    • Include links to any relevant social accounts and posts/threads where progress was shared in public.
    • Include a description of how building in public helped benefit the app (motivation, feedback from others, etc)
