1. Heavy‑Duty Steel Mounting Brackets

We use thick, high‑strength steel plate — ¼‑inch on the R8 and 7‑gauge (3/16") on the R7. Each bracket is laser‑cut and precision‑formed into a rigid channel that anchors the entire mechanism. Every bracket is finished in‑house with a durable matte‑black powder coat for corrosion resistance and a clean, professional look.

2. DOM Steel Tube Housing (1¼" Diameter x 1/8" Wall)

This drawn‑over‑mandrel steel tube forms the upper housing of the mechanism — chosen for its exceptional weld strength and dimensional accuracy. Each tube is CNC‑milled, threaded, deburred, welded to the bracket, and then powder‑coated matte black. This is the backbone of the retractable system.

3. CNC‑Machined Aluminum Piston (7/8" Diameter)

This piston is fully CNC‑machined in‑house for tight tolerances and smooth operation. It’s a critical component of our locking mechanism, and its precision machining ensures consistent engagement, long‑term reliability, and a premium feel.

4. Dual Ball‑Bearing Raceway

Both the R7 and R8 feature upper and lower double ball‑bearing raceways for smooth, controlled rotation under load.

  • R7: Rated for 600 lbs per set
  • R8: Rated for 800 lbs per set   These bearings ensure effortless swiveling even when the caster is supporting heavy equipment.
