i'm genderfluid, and i never feel exactly binary gendered but being referred to as a binary gender is sometimes okay or even validating.
if you specifically refer to me as the same binary gender unconditionally then i would prefer you just fall back to using gender neutral language instead of that.
the binary gendered relationship labels are all "sure" instead of "it's complicated" because really you cant vary your usage of them without giving people the wrong idea (when you use multiple different words to describe a single partner it sounds like you're talking about multiple partners and the language gets more confusing when you actually do have multiple partners), its really not an area of english where genderfluidity works intuitively so i honestly dgaf which of those labels are used for me
