What is posh authenticate
Posh Authenticate is our expert authentication service for select luxury items. Eligible items will have the “Authentication Included” badge on the listing page and will first be certified by Poshmark before they are delivered to you.
How It Works
When you purchase an item from select luxury brands and categories priced at $500 or higher, your order will be sent to Poshmark and undergo our expert authentication process. If an item is purchased from one of our trusted independent partners, the certified item will be shipped directly to you.

After You Buy
Once purchased, the item will be sent to Poshmark’s Authentication facility for expert review. If an item is purchased from one of our trusted independent partners, the certified item will be shipped directly to you.
Step 2
We Authenticate It
Our experts carefully examine key details such as logos, tags, and overall quality to confirm the item matches the listing. If authenticity cannot be confirmed, you will receive a full refund.
Step 3
Delivered to You
Once the authentication process is complete, the item is securely packaged and shipped to you.
How do I know if my item is eligible?
Eligible items will display the Authentication Included badge on the listing.
No badge? No problem. Your purchase is still fully protected by Posh Protect.
Posh Protect
All orders, including those that qualify for Posh Authenticate, are covered under Posh Protect. We will give you a full refund if your item does not match the listing description.

FAQs
When you make a sale, we will automatically route eligible items to Poshmark for authentication, while other items that are not eligible will ship directly to your buyer for faster delivery.

Only select luxury items sold for $500 or higher qualify for Posh Authenticate. All categories qualify, except for Electronics, Home, Pets, Toys, and Games.
If an item does not qualify for Posh Authenticate, it is still fully covered by Posh Protect.
If our team cannot verify authenticity, the order is cancelled and a full refund will be immediately processed. The item will then be returned to the seller and it won’t be eligible to be relisted.
Authenticating usually takes 1-3 business days once the item arrives at Poshmark. In some cases, it may take longer depending on volume or specific review needs.
Your order tracking page will keep you informed as your order travels to Poshmark, as it undergoes the Posh Authenticate review, and then as it makes its way to the buyer.
