Double Bend Travelling north along the Eastfjords of Iceland on a beautiful day in mid-November. As we turn towards Fáskrúðsfjörður, the sun is as high as it will get today at only 6° above the southern horizon. Lovely cloud shadows are chasing across the sparkling snow and highlighting the sweeping curves of Hoffelsdalur. The tall peaks in the background are Hoffell at 1092 metres / 3583 feet and Lambafell at 1097 m / 3599 ft. #SaturdayScenery #Iceland #Photography

Travelling north along the Eastfjords of Iceland on a beautiful day in mid-November. As we turn towards Fáskrúðsfjörður, the sun is as high as it will get today at only 6° above the southern horizon.

Lovely cloud shadows are chasing across the sparkling snow and highlighting the sweeping curves of Hoffelsdalur.

The tall peaks in the background are Hoffell at 1092 metres / 3583 feet and Lambafell at 1097 m / 3599 ft.

22 August 1925 | German Jewish boy Erich Günther Gutmacher was born in Berlin. He emigrated to the Netherlands. In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and registered in the camp after the selection (no. unknown). He perished in the camp on 22 August 1942.
